Your line of thought here is similar to asking why somebody would go to the Cheesecake Factory
for anything other than cheesecake.

I hope you see the fallacy.

.

Cheescake Factory has good food. I never have any room for their cheesecake, but it's very good!! lol foodnow cake

Wait . . . you don't leave enough room for cheesecake while dining at the Cheesecake Factory?

That's so, I dunno, . . . not at all odd. Just like it's not at all odd that I come to the Org and post
everywhere but the Prince Music forum. It could be the case that the cheesecake at the Cheese-
cake Factory sucks, just like the Prince Music forum does at Prince dot Org.

I stay behind on current trendy lingo. Story of my life. So now I guess "chirping" is a thing? Because I keep seeing it, but only here.

I really wish Prince were still around because it would be interesting to hear any influence of the current political and social climate on his music. Which probably isn't as interesting as wondering what his favorite flavor of toothpaste was or if he preferred two ply or linen cloths, but still.

No, their cheesecake is delicious!! I love the banana, raspberry & white chocolate, the vanilla bean......yummy!! lol

.

There are lot of Org members who don't post anything on the Prince threads, LOL lol

.

I take it you're not a Prince fan? lol

.

I'm gonna save room next time for some cheesecake though! lol

I love Prince's music up until 1992. My point is that even though I dig that work, it is not odd if
I don't post in the Prince music forum just like it is not odd that I don't ever eat cheesecake at the
Cheesecake Factory.

In other words, I'm busting DJ's balls because the original post presents what appears to be a false
dichotomy:

"Why come to the org every day {to} talk about everything except Prince?"

is just like asking:

"Why go to the Cheesecake Factory every day to eat everything except cheesecake?"

Answers to both questions could be:

"Because I prefer the other offerings despite the namesake being what originally piqued my interest."

Social views mmmm like Prince being a fan of Alex Jones? Proven & fact that he listened to Alex Jones & liked.........it is called thinking for one self & not being brainwashed by your mainstream media...has nothing to do with race but you keep on keepin' with your racist chirping...the question had nothing to do with race.

Prince was a brilliant artist. He was also pretty confused in many instances when it came to social issues and religion and business. And what did I say that could be considered "racist chirping" ? I was describing events I personally witnessed, and placed it in the context of what I have read in this forum .

Oh I see so in taking up just one of your examples ( and a list can be made ) lets take " pretty confused on religion"....so because he was JW? Or his thoughts on the Lord above doesn't fit into your thinking then " he was pretty confused" WoW just WoW....I see he went to JW meetings and obviously had a relationship with the Lord & nothing at all wrong with that but because you don't agree he is confused....WoW just Wow.....Guess What? The Lord above is the judge not you, me or Pee Wee Herman.

I find it fascinating seeing the political and social views of those who claim to be Prince fans. Similar to the way when I was younger, the most racist Italians, the ones who would beat the shit out of any Black or Latino who even walked in their neighborhood, all LOVED Disco and R&B and Funk and Hip-Hop...weird

Reminds me of that scene in Do the Right Thing where the Spike Lee character is telling the Italian guy that all his heroes are black.

Spike Lee grew up in Brooklyn NY like I did (he's a few years older than me). We both witnessed this bizarre phenomenon first hand.

I like them. They have a keen sense of fashion and the wrote some catchy songs, Nick wrote and recorded a rock opera with some of the other members of Duran Duran and it is unreleased and they just keep adding on to it.

I never checked this forum out until yesterday. This is the second thread I have read here and it is making me hungry and also wanting to search for the missing Duran Duran opera (of all things!!!!!). Not the reaction I was expecting, but I have rather enjoyed the randomness of it wink .
