Donald Trump Impending Impeachment......

He should already have been impeached by now.

Impeachment takes time. It took three or four months when they went after Clinton. No one was going to start impeachment on day one. Some have said he won't be impeached at all. I tend to think he'll lose a lot of power and respect among the GOP and be a lame duck way before normal.

In reality, there are four parties right now. Dems, GOP, Indies, and Trump.

Some former GOP Congressman from South Carolina was on the Lawrence O'Donnell show last night. He was one of the leaders that drafted the articles of impeachment against Bill Clinton. He said that if Hillary Clinton was president and fired the FBI director because he was investigating her, the GOP would already have written the Articles of Impeachment. He said they need to be working on impeaching Trump.

So what I think might happen is that if polling later this year shows the GOP is going to get smoked in the 2018 mid-terms, you might see a bunch of Republicans jump on the impeachment bandwagon if they think it will help their re-election chances.

That doesn't guarantee a Trump impeachment but it makes it more likely, IMO.

Good points. Let me add this:

There have been rumblings of initial drafts of impeachment already circulating. Not sure if that's true or not.

The mid-terms often flip the power. If POTUS is GOP and GOP sweeps the house etc., then that usually flips in the mid-term. It happened wit Clinton, when Gingrich & his fellow witches got in there, and shut down Clinton's gov't four or five times. Newt was more anti-Clinton than he was pro-America; that's usually the case anyway. Everyone is so anti-opposite party, that the people get lost in all that. Trump being a total moron is only going to help that flip of power in 2018, you're right. But it's pretty standard procedure that it flips anyway, at least the first time around.

Here's hopin'.

That would mean something if impeachment was based on approval ratings, but it's not. He has to be found in some kind of criminal act, just like Nixon was, outside of that we got him until his term ends, period. In fact seems like somebody since Nixon has been hollering impeachment for every president since then. I'm feeling like "the little boy who cried wolf" about all this, and I find it disappointing that the political system isn't taken more seriously than a reality show. But it is what it is, I guess. I'm really hoping for something with a little more meat on its bones beyond the whole "I don't like you" "well I don't like you , either" thing that's been playing out.

you two literally want to change the rules of the game AGAIN (2000) you want field goals to count the same as touchdowns! but she scored more! But not when and where and how it counted the most! She LOST 30 of the 51 elections... and that is WHY we have the system we have! so a few big states can not always force their agendas on the rest of the nation.

Why should the rest of the nation be able to force its fucked up agenda on the majority ? If we were represented per capita that would be a true democracy.

Absolutely and it's an embarrassment. He will just blame the media for something his son did.. That's always trump's ammo, because he knows his supporters will believe anything he says or tweets about. Just like how he conned them into voting for him. Lol.

Ok, fair enough if they are going to investigate Trump then they should widen then investigation and investigate the money from foreign entities given to the Clinton foundation. They should investigate other leaders in America and connection to Putin.

They have investigated the fuck out of the Clinton's, and it's a big NOTHING BURGER. Let's move on to prosecuting this disgusting, treasonous crime family that mistakenly got into the white house and send those fuckers to prison where they belong.

That's why he always attacks the media- he wants his followers (many, to be honest, are not the brightest bulbs on the shelf, and Trump knows that) to be confused and distrust any factual information that is put out there about him and his crew
