These folks just need to realize that its all about $$$$$$$.

Well gee .... I guess ABC isn't gonna bring back Modern Family then, since THAT show is also owned by 20th Century Fox Television.

Oh, WAIT A MINUTE ...

Modern Family was renewed for not one, but TWO more seasons!!

How 'bout that?

Game, set, match.

Just because his wife says she's scared about the lack of a visa potentially impacting the casting process, you automatically assume her husband is a biased radical liberal?

And 20th century fox pays modern family's production costs, places first in it time slot, and 1st in networks key demos, with quite a lot in ad revenue.

Meaning it's much cheaper for abc to put on than last man standing would have been, it wins it's time slot compared to LMS placing third, and makes ABC a lot more money than LMS did.

Additionally, the time slot was not up against a much cheaper and likely more popular show from marvel.

Game, set, you still don't seem to understand how the business works

To the best of my knowledge, they are not politically active ... or at the very least, not politically vocal.

If you're implying you have access to negotiations held between ABC and 20th Century Fox over each of the two shows, I'd love to see the links so I can read up on it. I'd also like to see your source for ad revenue figures for each show. Go ahead, educate me.

As for the time slot issue, that's a moot point. It's not written in stone that a show must get cancelled just because it's time slot is re-assigned to another show.

So much so it was in syndication in several smaller markets while it was still airing new shows. Hence - it was highly succesful and pulling in A LOT of money. Show business.

‘Last Man Standing’s Syndication Success Shows Viability Of Star-Driven Sitcoms'

"That is a whopping +43% household rating growth since Last Man Standing‘s September launch (2.0 vs. 1.4), and there are indications that numbers may continue to climb. While some shows are known to experience growth in their first months in syndication as new viewers discover them, such a steep upward trajectory is rare."

I agree. Seriously, I was surprised it lasted as long as it did, because it was so under the radar. Six seasons is a lot these days. CBS just cancelled "2 Broke Girls" after 6 seasons...I wonder if THAT was bias, too ... rolleyes

I've never watched the show, therefore I have nothing to "get over".

Are you over the embarrassment of your past few posts in this thread?

Any other asinine statements you want to make?

Or was the "Modern Family is in syndication, Last Man is not" gibberish your last one?

And of course, once again, you lack the morals and integrity and character and maturity to apologize and admit you're clueless about the topic.

you may not like his work but that was not the point...as I said before some of the calls for him to be fired was his political agenda... we see that is the case for JJ and now maybe you.

BTW- I NEVER said O'Reilly should have been fired for his "political agenda"...that's the voices in your head again. I DiD say I was glad he was canned because he was a sexual harasser. Though, I did find his personal hypocicy quite amusing- he's preaching morality every night on TV, while calling up women at night and jerking off on the phone, and manhandling his wife when she caught him. If that's the type of man you admire , so be it ....I say he's a pompous fraud

Oh heck no, I have a weak stomach ... can't stand to see vomit, blood, or anything like that. Just today I had a baby lizard on the windshield of my car, rather than squish him away with my wipers I let him go on a joyride and then carefully took him off and placed him gently on the ground. Who knows, maybe he'll work for Geico someday.

Yes, you tried to use the "syndication" line as a reason why Modern Family got renewed and Last Man didn't. Unfortunately, you hadn't realized Last Man was already in syndication and doing extremely well there.
