Sorry my friend, but the battle for funniest line of the thread has already been won by THIS response:

"Russia is not in the fight against ISIS and have not pledged any support to such endeavors. Russia is NOT an ally"

err ohgoon

you do realize trump himself said that russia needs to step up their efforts against ISIS and that they arent doing enough, right?

and the pentagon has also critized russia for not doing enough.

she's not saying anything new or false. most of the right wing agrees with her statement.

And what does Trump's request for Russia to increase their efforts against IS have to do with this blatant lie: "Russia is not in the fight against ISIS and have not pledged any support to such endeavors. Russia is NOT an ally"

Absolutely NOTHING!

Russia HAS been fighting IS, end of story. As usual, she lied. That makes her a LIAR!

BTW - What do you think of Will & Grace returning?

No, I don't agree. And who knows if there is more than one memo, and who did he give those memos to? IF it's he said he said you have one man with an impeccable reputation for honesty and one orange narcissistic buffoon - - hmmm who to believe? lol

Trump sent Sessions out of the room - Trump wanted time with only Comey. If he recorded the conversation with Comey then let's hear it - otherwise STFU about "tapes" unless you produce them and directly refute what's been alleged.

What happened to the last president that recorded conversations in the Oval Office?

I have not seen the memo but if he documented things regularly and testifies under oath that what he alleges in the memo is true, it could be true. Why would he lie? We know why 45 would lie, but why would Comey lie back in February?

Did he?

http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/13/politics/obama-white-house-recording/

...the former FBI director is "not worried about any tapes" of conversations between him and the President.
No one knows if Trump is making White House recordings -- and Trump won't say
If Trump is recording his conversations in the Oval Office, he would appear to be the first president to do so since Richard Nixon.

BTW - was a sarcastic reference to Nixon - don't get your little thong in a bunch rolleyes

Comey was at the White House for a national security briefing - not about the Russia investigation or Flynn. Why would he bring a recording device? Are you really wondering that? rolleyes

Comey was the Director of the FBI in February and has an impeccable reputation for being extremely honest. He had no reason to lie about the conversation that took place after the president excused Sessions and the others. Once these memo or memos are released (I am sure they will all be obtained under subpeona).

And if Trump has recordings that confirm what Comey recorded in his memo(s) then what? spit

If Comey is not worried that he was recorded - maybe you should be? biggrin

No: even if Trump has a recording and that is not on it that could mean he shut it off or said it as to not be picked up.

I am more interested in the wording (hey they did it for Bill and Hillary)... "I hope you can let this go." I guess that depends on what the definition os this is?

Maybe he meant since I am going to fire him and what we know about the contact is not anything even close to a crime. As the at the time or prior director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, he would have had contact with Russian officials. If I remember correctly the reason he was fired was not do to ANY allegations of criminal wrongdoing but for failure to divulge the full scope of his contract at the time in question.

This whole Russia thing seems to be just something someone made up. So far, as far as we know, there is nothing to support the claims.

I think Flynn was already fired when Trump met with Comey. Hence, let the investigation on him go - he;s a good guy. This is kind of similar to the way Trump talked about Spicer and Sanders to the Fox reporter last week.

Being that the whole thing is still being investigated there is no conclusion or final conclusion. What we do know is that Paula Manfort's financial records are under current subpeona in connection with Russian ties. Remember Paul Manafort? Trump's Campaign Manager?
