Red Sox fans taunt black player with N-words. Sick

I have known for years that Boston was a really racist city, this proves it:

http://www.krgv.com/story...adam-jones

This is 2017? Southies are some racist pricks. They really tauned MLK back in the day. The Mayor is lying about the problem. There has always been a huge race problem in Boston. They're not all liberal.

This is why we protest.

what needs to happen is the Baseball league neeeds to 'boycott' these stadiums. Let the masses pay for the ignorance of the few.

What's the matter with your life
Is poverty bringing U down?
Is the mailman jerking U 'round?
Did he put your million dollar check
In someone else's box?
Tell me, what's the matter with your world

I live in Boston, which is heavily segregated and as a result, there are some prejudiced pockets within
the city. I think some of the reasons why Boston maintains a distinction of being a liberal town is
probably due to the many prominent liberal universities within the Boston metro area (Harvard, MIT,
Tufts, Boston University, Boston College, etc); but these schools are not populated with native Bostonians
or Massachusetts residents. And, because of many "liberal" social policies, Boston continues to maintain
that distinction. But make no mistake about it: many Black Americans perceive this town as being racist
as fuck and that is one of the reasons why although I have lived here for 15 years, I will never go to a
Red Sox or Bruins or Patriots game. All this being said, my greatest fear for the city's marginalized and
oppressed people is not racism, but classism.

Just a note: "Southie" refers to South Boston, not the people who live there, and as a Black American, I
would not live in this section of the city.

There's no denying some who attend Red Sox games (I won't call them "fans") are racist.

However, I've personally witnessed or heard about similar incidents in many other baseball parks.

The only reason this particular story has gotten so much attention is because it involves one of the most popular teams in professional sports, and a city that has long had a reputation for being more racist than most.

This ain't the first time Adam Jones has complained about racial slurs, and Boston fans aren't the only ones he's accused.

Yep!

I teach a literacy class on the campus of UMass-Boston and we use Russell's writings often where he
talks about the racism he faced in Boston.

Red Sox fans gave Adam Jones a standing ovation today; cool. But the next time some jerkoffs in the
stands start hurling racial epithets, the same fans who adorned Jones with praise ought to be just as
vocal in their remonstration against racism.

No, you can call some racist people who attend Red Sox games "fans." I don't understand why you
are being reluctant to do this.

And can you elaborate as to what the point is you're making about this not being the first time that
Adam Jones has complained about being the target of racial slurs?

I've been to enough games, at Fenway and other parks, to know that those in the cheap seats aren't there for the game ... they drink before the game and throughout the game. Ask them baseball questions, they don't know shit. They are there because it's a fun place to drink and socialize.

Cool that you're in Boston though, I didn't know that.

My point about Jones is that Boston is not the only baseball town that has had problems with racial insults at the ballpark. He endured similar in Toronto just last October, including having a full can of beer thrown at him. Similar has happened in Yankee Stadium 2 years ago, and I could name many more incidents. It's not just Boston, that's my point.

Trump is not racist. Look at his wife. Then look at Obama's wife and Clintons wife and all the women he slept with they are all the same color. Trump's routine is to sleep with russians and latina women. I'm not saying Obama and Clintons are racist but likely a racist would only sleep with same race or only Americans. What xenophobe sleeps with women all over the globe?

I would not put anything past the NY Yankees or Redsox fans to win. They will sink to the lowest. It reminds me of how CNN and Clintons tried to smear Trump during the election. I don't believe the fans are racist but just like the Clintons they will use racism to win.

So I guess the slave masters who "slept" with their slave women in the South weren't "racist" either, if you followed this "logic" ...

You'd think those that get off on accusing everyone they dislike of being racist would eventually get a life someday, ya know? What a pathetic, sorry-ass way to spend the short amount of time that God gives us on this planet. What pisses me off the most about those that make ridiculous, baseless claims about racism is that when there REALLY IS reason to cry racism, we won't be believed because all of the previous bullshit racist fingerpointing has discredited all people of color. That's what happens when you cry wolf one million too many times, people ain't gonna believe even when it's true.

Funny thing is, many of the same hypocrites crying wolf now didn't give a flying fuck when Trump was a very liberal democrat. And you know what? If he was a democrat now they STILL wouldn't give a flying fuck. That's how mindless the "Trump is a racist" fingerpointers are. lol

Same as a man that sleeps with other men and people say he is not gay. Well he is either gay or bisexual or doing it for money. Hardcore racists would only sleep with own race. Trump could have any kind of women he wanted in 80's so you think a racist would generally go for women of different races?? Some people think they are not "racist" but they are conditioned to like a certain type, their type, their own. Aren't they JJ?

When you say "hardcore" racists, do you mean Nazis or Klansmen ? Because I'm sure many Klansmen sexually assaulted women of races they deemed "inferior" ...Who somebody sleeps with may bear little or no relation to how they feel about a majority of people of that race...Are you going to tell me that NO white bigots of the 1940s or 50s found Lena Horne or Dorothy Dandridge sexually appealing ? And there are probably men (and even women) who find something arousing, and even "perversely" exciting, about being sexaully with someone they, and society, deem to be "inferior" to them...

That could be in rare cases but you can easily find pictures of the women that Obama, Clinton, Trump have been with and Trump did not bang many unappealing women. They are beautiful women they are model type. You bring up rare, one in a million logic and I'm stating common sense. Do you see any dating sites where racists can sleep with women from other races? Yeah, that is an idiotic post, but what do you expect? These clowns cherry pick what suits their warped agenda. I guess they forgot his "laziness is a trait inherent in blacks" quote, which he didn't dispute initially.

Boston deserves its reputation, but the NYC metro area isn't that much better. Lot of hate here.

I wonder what that racist fan would do if Adam Jones went into stands to confront him. I always get nose-to-nose with the mfer and tell him, if you see a n****r, whip his ass.

Again, a ridiculous argument...

Do you know why Blacks and Latinos come in multiple hues , and shades, and hair textures ? Because for centuries, the White colonizers and slave holders found the women they considered "beneath them" to be sexually appealing , and acted upon that attraction, mainly against the will of the women involved. Please, learn some history.

In my own personal experience, I've known several men who harbored bigoted attitudes, yet slept with, and in some cases, preferred, women of the groups they considered "inferior". Trump may have enjoyed the "exoticism' of sleeping with women of different backgrounds (and remember, Russian is still White...) the same way he enjoyed hanging out with Mike Tyson or Russell Simmons...and still felt like the "average" Black person was beneath him..

And you mention Obama- you do know that before Michelle, most of his girlfriends were White, right ???
