To qualify have to live in highrise in Manhattan. If you live in the burbs not experiencing NYC. Not the same. NYC not my scene. I like a life of swimming pools and jacuzzis. People in general are not going to fly to NYC to get in a jacuzzi in winter months! That is also my point. Chinese food in NYC is not the same as going to China to eat and experiencing different cultures. NYC has Americanize versions.

Many people make it big in NYC take my buddy. He made millions but others stuggle to get by and really one doesn't have to live in city to have an opportunity if they are brilliant with computers they don't even have to interact with anyone.

Every large city has their share of the 'Haves and Have nots', and people from various, economic backgrounds, from poor to wealthy. Nothing new about that unless you lived in a cocoon for far too long, not to know. Maybe your friend who you claimed made millions in NY, should lend you money to get out of your cocoon. Lol. Many from all over the world, choose NY to make a living, once they become American citizens of this country, and bring/share their cultures here, whether it be food, music, etc. Manhattan is not the only borough of NYC. Many of the people who work in NYC, are in moderate to high paying jobs (middle-class and professionals), and live on the outside of NYC. They come to Manhattan for employment because of the salaries. Example: Many are Long Islanders, many from Conneticut and even the state of New Jersey. NY Penn Station, Grand Central Terminal and NY Port Authority, NJ Transit, provide transportation service for them in and out of (Manhattan). Not everyone works in Manhattan though. You have the actual residents of the 5 boroughs of NYC, who live there, many who either own homes, live in condos, coops or rented apts. they either drive to work, take the subway, express, local bus service or carpool. They may work in Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island, other than Manhattan. Many New Yorkers also travel around the world. It's called taking a vacation.

Manhattan right near time square that is the place to live. Walking distance to many things. Otherwise you don't really live in NYC. All of NY is dangerous except for that part of NY. Upstate NY is very dangerous it where the Soprano types bury bodies.

You're either attempting to be funny, or just nuts. New York is perhaps the safest big city in America. But if you are scared of your own shadow, maybe you're better off hiding out in your closet. Me, I'm going to enjoy all this place has to offer

Accusations! But is that what a racist is? Someone who dates women from other countries. All Trump wants is the law to be established and followed. Trump is the President of the USA. Make Merica Great Again.

Maybe you're better off NOT coming to NYC. That douchebag lost by about 80% here! We've known him for years, and we were too smart to get scammed by his bullshit like all those rubes were.

and again... you can not help it can you? you do not agree with me you must be dumb

If you look at crime statistics for Manhattan, it actually spikes a little around Times Square because pickpockets know all the tourists are there.

No, but if someone or something is stupid, I'm not afraid to call it out. Why did Trump lose in the areas with the highest levels of education? Just asking...

No worry. Lot's of cameras, cops, people watching. Tough to disappear or be shot without digital evidence. Many places to blend in wearing disguises and can escape at bus station. I understand the petty crime.

I'm protective because many bad events happened to me. I disappeared at one point. I think I told Only when I returned what happened. Yes, I'm more careful than most people. I don't trust anyone. Some of it is being sarcastic but some not. You would possibly think I was nuts but understand if you knew the extent to what actually happened. I can go underground. I can go to other countries and I have people and places to hide.

The Edu system in Merica tends to lean to the left. Most professors will try to brainwash students into becoming liberal and athiests. If you are conservative and Christian many professors will work against you.

Looks like Tennessee is doing a similar program like NY. This will help many adults obtain a higher education and technical skills for free. Wonderful. More state's need to follow this.

Tennessee makes community college free for all adults

By Katie Lobosco May 11, 2017: 2:46 PM ET
Tennessee is about to become the first state in the nation to make community college free for all adults.
Lawmakers approved legislation Wednesday that will expand the Tennessee Promise program that launched in 2014. It made tuition and fees free for recent high school graduates enrolled in a community college or technical school. Now, adults who don't already have an associate's or bachelor's degree can go for free, too, starting in the 2018 fall semester.

Governor Bill Haslam is expected to sign the bill into law. He proposed the legislation in his State of the State address earlier this year. It's a cornerstone of his initiative to increase the number of residents with a college education to 55% by 2025. Last year, less than 39% of residents had gone to college.

"If we want to have jobs ready for Tennesseans, we have to make sure that Tennesseans are ready for jobs, and there is no smarter investment than increasing access to high-quality education," Haslam said in a statement.
To be eligible, students must have been a state resident for at least a year before applying, maintain a 2.0 GPA, enroll in enough classes to be a part-time student, and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Expanding the free-tuition program will cost about $10 million once fully implemented. But it will be funded by the state's lottery account, just like the rest of Tennessee Promise.

Students will save about $3,700 a year, which is the average cost of tuition and fees at Tennessee's 13 community colleges. If they already receive a need-based Pell Grant from the federal government, Tennessee will cover any remaining cost.
