I don't care if she wants to call herself black. She just can't claim black experience and everything that goes with that.

But that's exactly what she's doing!

Dolezal reimagining what it can possibly mean to be "Black" by her being "trans Black" is her telling
you that she can claim some identification with the Black experience and everything that goes with
it based upon her own caprice or whims, or, what could be the results of some type of personality dis-
ordering.

However you slice it, this ontological expression of hers, which is one that adores Black American culture,
is paradoxically subverting it.

She is starting to remind me of that strange family in the movie 'Get Out'.

He's the kind of closet racist who will say he is colorblind, has Black friends and thinks being Black is a fashion, but embraces and promotes racist, stereotyped views about Blacks. Just like a handful on this forum who express the same views as his, about the Black community. popcorn

You mean like OJ, Tiger Woods, Serena Williams, etc?

Image result for serena williams baby

Image result for oj simpson nicole

And how many endorsements did Tiger lose? And how much jail time did OJ get? And how many white people in America think OJ was innocent? Please. You're trying hard to disprove white privilege but I'm not buying it. Clown.

Rachel knows she benefits off white privilege, and now using the racial injustices of another racial group to make money, by pretending she is Black.

The ugly truth is that Rachel is a prime example of White America's long history of 'stealing' from other racial/ethnic groups, and claiming what they steal is 'theirs.' Just like how their European ancestors stole this country from Native Americans, and many Whites today, trying to claim America is 'originally' theirs. Just because you steal something doesn't mean it belongs to you.

Rachel is no different from the people who designed the system of racism in this country, and profited from the blood, sweat, tears of enslaved Africans. I wonder if she cares about all the African great-grandmothers, who were children at the time they were raped by racists and many white slave owners. I wonder if she gives a shit about Black Americans who suffered during post-slavery from the Jim Crow laws, because of the color of their skin, as she continues to benefit from her white privilege with a can of Ebony spray tan. I wonder if she cares about the continued racial discrimination, against people of color in this country. If she claims race is a social construct, then how can she claim that 'transracial' exists? Lol. She's a fraud.

This is an article from a white person, written last summer, who at least doesn't try to hide the fact that white privilege exists. Anyone who denies it, needs to go back and educate themselves on America's history and research how and why the system of racism/institutional racism/white supremacy teachings/white privilege was designed, and which racial group was intended to benefit from it. Some can play blind to it all they want, but America's racist history is written documentation and evidence, as to why white privilege still exists today. No excuses.

White Privilege Exists
By Erin Parker

White privilege

"I made it through the majority of my life never hearing these two words. Growing up in Indiana, white is mostly what I saw, learned about, and followed. The country seemed to be constructed for people who looked like me. I had so much white privilege that I could opt of realizing my white privilege. It was this protective bubble that blinded me from the ugly truth of the real world: In most cases, I was deemed more valuable and worthy because of my skin tone.

Here is what I know now. White privilege is real, and those of us who have it have no idea it’s even happening. White privilege is seeing people who look exactly like you on almost every single TV show, movie and commercial yet having the audacity to ask why there is BET because “that’s racist.” The majority of African Americans, Hispanics, or anyone of a different hue than white, if they make prime time TV or motion pictures, are cast in stereotypical roles created by white America. They play these parts to perpetuate and to keep safe our skewed view of who we think they truly are. Even more damaging, white privilege is ignoring this is happening in schools across our country. Ask today’s students to name leaders, authors or other figures outside of the white race they learn about. Most will struggle. The fact many of my students don’t know who Maya Angelou and John Lewis are is tragic.

White privilege is the fact that I’ll get the benefit of the doubt because of my skin color. No one will lock doors when I walk by, and I certainly won’t be followed around a store. We get to claim there is equality because Jim Crow is dead even when we see and hear about blatant racial inequities. White privilege is blaming mental illness when someone who looks like me commits heinous crimes but hanging labels on everyone else.

[color=blue{White America doesn’t want to talk about it because it induces shame and guilt. I get that, and I am not one to welcome those emotions, but this violent divide between the people of our country will remain until we have the uncomfortable, hard conversations. We have to listen to the those who walk the same streets as us but live a different life. Not only do we need to listen, but we must honor that as their truth, not some made up story. We expect our truth to be believed, and we need to do the same.[/color][/b]

I am not out to vilify white America because the majority is empathetic and kind, but we have to call a spade a spade and quit denying we have it better because of our skin color. We can’t call the Black Lives Matter movement a terrorist group or inherently racist when we have zero conception of what it feels like to be a disposable race. When one person suffers, we all suffer.

Right.

And she is ironically subverting the very culture she claims an affinity for by telling Black Americans
what a "Black American" could look like, experience, etc. Her privilege-ness allows her to fashion
her own self-identity to the chagrin of her family and society, but if she decides the criticism and the
remonstration she receives from those spheres of influence is too much to bear, she can always go
back to being "white".

Black Americans do not have that luxury, and I'll be damned if I let a white American tell me that
she's now a Black American: um, no the fuck you are not. I have problems with any Black American
who thinks she is justified with her ontological "trans-Black" horseshit.

There actually was a reality show about 10 years ago I think called "Black/White" or something like that, where a Black family and a White family were made up to look like the other race and see what life was like that way...they beat Rachel to the punch

Sigh. Why Won’t Rachel Dolezal Go Away?

Latest images of self-proclaimed Black woman reveal a new look and a very disconcerting domain name

MAY 9, 2016 :http://www.ebony.com/news-views/rachel-dolezal-rasta#axzz4gcHw4CtL

ike some sort of cultural fungus, former NAACP Spokane, Wash. President-turned-outed-White-woman Rachel Dolezal just won’t go away. We just heard from the new mom when she hit the publicity trail to (again) talk about pretending to be a Black woman while hawking a book about race. She talked to outlets, including the Today Show and the BBC, making it clear she was still clinging to the notion that she was Black solely because she identifies as such.

This, despite the fact that she isn’t Black at all. And by “not at all” I mean not even one drop rule Black.

It would be easy to ignore Dolezal if she quietly rode off into the white hot sunset, but she clearly refuses. Despite the fact that she should be last year’s hashtag, Dolezal continues to worm her way into social media discussions because she absolutely doubles down on Black ish.

Case in point? The address for her brand new personal website is RachelDolezal.black. So in case you had any doubts about her fake ethnicity, she has given us all a handy dandy reminder that she wanna be down with so bad she bought the damn domain.

The other “I’M REALLY BLACK, GUYS,” moment is her latest hairstyle. We all know homegirl has a thing for quick weaves and Janet Jackson braids, but now that she has a new bundle of joy on her hands, Dolezal is on a new wave: Rasta Rachel.

And no, I don’t stalk her Instagram page, but after fellow writer Zeba Blay shared a snap of Dolezal’s new hair on Twitter, I just couldn’t look away.

Listen, Dolezal is entitled to live her life, but why do we all have to be a party to it? It’s one thing to get caught up in a lie, apologize, feel contrite, and move one. But it’s quite another to do what Dolezal’s been doing. Thus far she has not only pretended to be a Black women and leveraged her faux-Blackness to get actual and factual positions and props, but when she got busted, Dolezal basked in the privilege of being a White woman who identifies as Black and snapped back about her life defending the community she lied to for years.

If Dolezal wants to continue to be an activist, writer, or professor, then cool, please proceed madame.

But leave the Marley twists, self-tanner, and 1B yakky alone. Cool?

dove

at best she has become more of an irritable distraction. but where is she now. has she left south africa. is she back in the states.

well it really doesn't matter i guess. seems she may be looking for validation out of desperation for outing her (alledged) disfunctional upbringing which imo has made her a into synthetic neo blues girl whinner releasing the tears on the downbeat.

The answer is simple: Because people like you keep promoting and publicizing her.

We need to stop giving her the attention she seeks, we need to stop talking about her. Only then will she go away.

Letting this thread get locked would help, as would removing her domain name from your post.

Letting this thread get locked would help, as would removing her domain name from your post.

Well you can stop talking about her as an individual but you won't ever get rid of white privilege in this country. This country was founded on the concept of white supremacy and white privilege.

Well let's start by removing her from the social consciousness of this country, then we'll go from there.

"As a team, we have chosen to stand and interlock arms in unity. We honor those who have fought for the freedom we cherish. And we stand to ensure the riches and freedom and the security of justice for all people." --- Doug Baldwin

how has the existence of such become the fault of or the responsibility of someone white to fix or correct, and how might we go about doing so?

Anyone for banning the AR15 must be on the side of the criminal as once banned only criminals will have them.
