i think that is not true. he did not gut the program: he just canceled the last minute fee reduction that has not even gone into effect. So it never really went down so it can not really be going up. It is staying the same. Right?

5 Ways Trump Wiped Obama from the White House Website: http://www.usatoday.com/s.../96850660/

Elections matter.

Exhibit A: Moments after Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States, the White House website was overhauled to wipe away all vestiges of former president Barack Obama's priorities.

Here are the big changes that caught people's attention:

1. Got rid of key environmental rules...
2. Gone quiet on gay issues...

3. Civil rights are no longer on the list... this stood out to me - "The Obama White House listed "civil rights" as the first among "top issues" on its website. The new Trump White House website does not mention civil rights at all but does list as a top issue "Standing up for our law enforcement community." Specifically, the site says, "The dangerous anti-police atmosphere in America is wrong ... Our job is not to make life more comfortable for the rioter, the looter, or the violent disrupter."

4. A military build up is coming...

5. The site is no longer accessible to people with disabilities (ie providing a way for people to access the site such as allowing users to use audible screen readers). (This will have to change because it is federal law that any government website be accessible to people with disabilities.)

Now I know why the skies were gray and dismal in Washington, DC, and all over the East Coast on Friday. I'm telling you all, expect your first amendment rights to be taken away. The cops will be allowed to arrest you for your freedom to protest. This is why trump's presidency will not make it to a second term. He will be hurting the rights of too many Americans.

Trump will now be giving more rogue and racist officers permission to harass and justify, killing more Brown and Black Americans. I wonder when the white college kids start rioting after a sports event, burning and jumping on cars and breaking store windows if the police are going to treat them the same way, if Black youth did the same.

Make America Homeless again! woot!

the fake part... the LIE is that this will raise the cost for anyone. The reduction never went into place. If it would have been in place, even for one day, or for one hour, I would agree.

but it had not started so it is not an increase.

now some of the links are more honest than others. but sorry! a lame duck can not just enact sweeping policy changes one his way out the door and expect them.

I am reminded of when a bush tax cut was set to expire and barack was not all that interested in expanding it... and here on this site many of the obama supporters said that was not a tax increase. I said it was because rates would go up. In this case the fee never went down so it is not going up.

but anyway I agree with trump as the fee helps pay for the program, it is a cheap program that allows people with very poor credit get a house (which is cool as stuff happens).

A national movement to unify and empower everyone who stands for women’s rights, human rights, civil liberties, and social justice for all. This is a non-partisan and peaceful event. People will unite locally and nationally in every state and major metropolitan area to stand with us in solidarity for the American values we represent.

as long as the are peaceful and no one does any damage and no one assaults anyone and none of the "protesters" block access to any place... that is fine. what happens in all too many is some get violent and destructive--and I would HOPE that all that do get arrested and charged.

one of the big ones (i think the big one in DC) excluded some woman's rights groups because they were pro-life. They can not handle any women that do not agree with their agenda! Sad and sick. But it is like I have said for years! You must be in lock step with or else.

My son is going to a march in Memphis but let's be honest - marches are ineffective. Right now, at this very moment, Trump's mindset is "I won and I am going to do what I want". Let's face it - no march can remove Trump from the presidency and he knows it. He will be in office for the next four years.

Now, who's at risk? The entire Congress, and 1/3 of the Senate. If the people want to negate Trump, they have to convince every politician who's up for election in 2018 that if they support Trump, their re-election chances will be diminished or even eliminated.

But there's the rub.

Because politicians have to be convinced that people will actually vote. And what did we just see? Incredible apathy among Democrats in the three states that mattered - PA, MI and WI. Republican politicians are probably feeling, "What, me worry? The Democratic party is filled with lazy cheese-eating couch-potatoes like those sluggards in Pa, WI and MI. They are too lazy and too dumb to get off their Barcaloungers and do something that actually matters. They didn't vote me out in 2016 and they won't vote me out in a mid-term, where turnout is always lower than in a presidential year. Let them burn their energy and anger at their little marches. Until they prove to me they'll actually do something that matters - like voting, for instance - forget 'em".

If the Democrats want to make hay, then IMO they need to begin voter registrations drives RIGHT NOW and continue them non-stop until Election Day 2018. AND they need to pour as much money as they possibly can into TV commercials that say, "ATTENTION YOU NON-VOTING SLOBS! You don't like President Trump? Do you want to do something EFFECTIVE that will stop him? Then GET OFF YOUR FAT, LAZY TOOKUS AND VOTE IN 2018 FOR DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES! Only by taking control of the House and/or the Senate can we stop President Trump's dangerous agenda. So if you really care about your country, you have to VOTE and you have to do everything you can to get others who feel the same way you do to vote, too".

Anything else is a complete waste of time and energy. But hey - how do you think Trump won in the first place?

I'm not optimistic, and won't be until the Democrats show they have grown a brain.

Women's March: All the US protests taking place, in one map

Women in 60 countries and on seven continents across the world are preparing to march against the President

Donald Trump’s inauguration has left the world divided. While his supporters toss their "Make America Great Again" hats into the air in celebration, his critics take to the streets to protest against him.

Many of those protesting against the newly sworn in President are women. In 60 countries and on seven continents across the world, women are preparing to march against the President on Saturday.

They will be taking to the streets to promote equal rights for women and defend marginalised groups.

From the southern states of America to the Antarctic, Beirut, Nairobi, La Paz, Tokyo, Congo, Barcelona, Kolkata, Rio de Janerio, Belgrade, Reykjavík, Brussels, Liverpool, and many other destinations far and wide, they will be turning their anger at Mr Trump into action. An estimated 616 sister marches are taking place worldwide with a combined total of two million marchers expected to attend.

In London, more than 14 thousand people have signed up to attend the Women’s March and in Washington 220 thousand have signed up.

“From the very beginning, it has been our aim to bring groups together in order to create a unified force that fights for the rights of the most marginalised and disadvantaged,” Beth Garner, one of the march’s organisers, told The Independent.
