Eric Holder would have killed Malcolm X, most likely

Given Holder's recent comments about "due process" and Malcolm X's association with the Muslim Brotherhood, what would Holder have done? And what does this mean for today's critics of the U.S. government? It's a scary world that we live in. As sad as it is, Holder probably would have ordered his execution.

Dissident or Terrorist: Would Eric Holder Have Killed Malcolm X?

http://www.dominionofnewy...1lJvzH2Y-A

"In April 1964, Malcolm X had lunch with a member of Lebanon’s branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, Dr. Malik Badri, a professor. Malcolm X also visited the Brotherhood’s Lebanon office and, according to his diary, received a very touching send-off from them, when he departed for Cairo."

"[A]sking how the U.S. government would handle a person like Malcolm X. is paramount, for he epitomizes the conundrum that Attorney General Eric Holder might face if called upon to review decisions about whether to execute a U.S. citizen."

Holder wouldn't have been in the office. That's like saying Kunta Kinte would have suspended habeas corpus leading up to the Civil War.

Except Holder is in office now, and there are plenty of people following in Malcolm X's footsteps. They may not be as well known as Malcolm or as good a speaker, but there are radicals in the U.S. with international allegiances.

What happens when these people go overseas and meet with people that the U.S. government has on some terrorism list? Will they get shot? Detained indefinitely without a trial? I thought free speech and freedom to assemble were important.

Well, in 2009, they declassified the torture memos from Bush, but as usual they didn't prosecute anybody, but they will jail suspected terrorists with no trial. Holder is just another stooge. It aint about the color but about the heart.

Tim Wise is white, but cares more about black folk than Holder or maybe Obama.

Good point. We can't even indict people for torture but we can assassinate American citizens without due process. Holder's a terribel Attorney General. Obama needs to replace him in his second term.
