What do you admire about peoples races/ethnicities?

Instead of focusing on the negative lets say what we LOVE about other races or even your own!

And it can be either physical, or cultural or anything!

I find the Arabic culture one of the RICHEST most beautiful cultures IMO(I'm not only talking about muslims here either, but I'm talking ALL).

And their music love Ray(PricelessHo) already knows how far I'm with my addiction.

Love is just like the faucet
It turns off and on
Sometimes when you think it's on baby
It has turned off and gone

I love every shade of skin color. Truly. love
I do wish this was celebrated more. There is such unique beauty in each from the lightest to the darkest. Maybe it's an artsy-fartsy thing to say, but I mean it.

I love the many different styles of music that come from different cultures and the awesome and amazing sounds that come from combining them. cloud9

More ethnic than racial...

* Southeast Asia. I am ever stunned at the mechanical artistry and spiritual depth that certain of your cultures have plumbed in the simple act of self defense. You've taken delivering an ass whippin' to the level of almost religious devotion. lol

* Christian Europe (Particularly of a Calvinist lineage). I love that you could develop communal worship amid various traditions without the liturgical loudness and fireworks. There's something Godly in subtlety.

* African diaspora. I love that you can bring the loudness and fireworks when need be to ecstatic effect in your communal worship. There's something Godly in intensity.

I recently moved to the most diverse neighborhood in Minneapolis and my condo sits atop a global market. From the colors of Indian fabrics to East African cuisine to the Mexican bakery I love, love, love the art, culture and food of my new digs.

I’m an atheist, but I’d love to attend a traditional, southern Baptist church with a fiery preacher and a gospel choir that makes the congregation get up and dance. That looks like great fun.

It can be exhilarating! Your religious inclinations aside, you'd leave that place high on life!

I have always loved the black race for their hipness, soul, rhythm, and style. While white guys were wearing plain old jeans and T shirts, black guys were wearing clothes with a stylish cut, colors, and materials with a shine to them. Flash...flash...flash....style...style...style. Even down to the cars. Back in the day while white folks were driving pick-up trucks, black folks were driving in style in Cadillacs, Lincolns, and anything luxurious and stylish. I never saw a black person back then in a truck of any kind unless they did yard work or something. Trucks were strictly for rednecks only. lol And talk about rhythm, oh hell, funk, disco, house music....nothing but a ass shakin' good time. Hell, black folks could even take a stuffy place like church and give it rhythm. Shit hop came along and did away with all that fun though. Hell, nuns are more stylish these days and stuffy classical musicians got more rhythm than 90% of black music these days. I don't even consider shit hop as black music, I consider it white music, and not just any old white music, but dorky rhythmless Lawrence Welk type white music. lol The black race is definately the funnest race to be around and less two-facedness than I've encountered with a lot of white people in my experiences.

In the past decade or so, I've been really admiring some hispanics, especially the men. Sexy, sexy, sexy, sexy dammitt! Oh Lord, I want me a big ole beef enchilada so bad I can't stand it. lol They just got a sexy look to them. Dark hair, darker skin than whites but lighter skin than blacks, kinda inbetween, just hot honey. Middle Eastern men are hot too. Exotic looking. Well, exotic looking to me at least considering that I'm from Mississippi and everything has always been predominately white and black only for years. We've gotten a larger hispanic population though in recent years. I don't know any personally but I certainly want to get to know some.

I love Asian or oriental art and decor. From the screens, the art, the decor, even down to the plants. It just has a beautiful calm delicate look to it.

I love learning about the Massai group in Africa. They are fierce people. I just watched a show that mentioned that lions are afraid of them. Can you believe that? They wear orange to keep the lions/tigers away, because lions don't like the color orange. I also purchased a book about them. I wasn't so happy to learn how some of the women are treated, but the treatment of women in most societies is a global issue, that is a fight still waiting to be won. Anyway, for some reason I have always had an interest in that particular group. I'm still learning about them, and find them to be an interesting people.

I love where my man originates from, the West Indies. They have incorporated historical experience along with their faith and creativity. It's truly a dynamic force, being continuously fashioned by creative energies and other influences with Carnival being one of the most powerful symbols of their culture. It's truly amazing and they are able to seek uniqueness among themselves and mesh that into a global basket that identifies them as Caribbean peeps.

My African-Americans: I love our soulfulness and sense of style.

For my Latino side: I love our passion and the strong commitment to family, much like my african american side. Plus, I love our sense of rhythm.

I love the way Asian families respect their elders and their sense of humbleness.

Native Americans: I love their spirituality

I am like most folks in here, I love all races and cultures. Each race brings a different element to the table that makes us all that much appreciative of diversity.

Wow, interesting. What part of the Caribbean is he from? My family (paternal/maternal) have roots in Virgin Gorda, Tortola, BVI and St. Thomas/St.Croix/St. John, Virgin Islands, and other parts of the Caribbean. Mannerisms and respect does run deep in most Caribbean family structures.

Cool. Caribbeans are also tight-knit when it comes to family. I've been asked a few times if I'm Bajan or Jamaican, and that's probably because of my high-cheekbones, that people often associate with people of the Caribbean. Out of my 9 siblings, 5 of us was born in the states (first generation basically). and the rest in St. Thomas, VI. My maternal great-grandparents and grandfather, I just found out from a 1930 census of the Virgin Islands, were born in Virgin Gorda, lived a little while in Tortola, then migrated to St. Thomas, VI. Both my parents were born in St. Thomas, VI. I embrace both the African-American and Caribbean cultures, and yeah family and mannerisms is an important part of the Caribbean culture.
