What is heaven like?

I think heaven is the perfect earth, a better earth than this one! In another galaxy far away! This perfect earth is the home of angels just like the pictures, figurines, statues, etc...we see everyday! Some of us have these images in our homes!
There is no pain, sorrow, death, decay, sin, etc...
There is love, joy, happiness, peace, and all good things everlasting!
I believe we will all have perfect wings there to fly everywhere. There won't be any cars, gas, planes, polution, etc...
This is how I perceive heaven to be like and the bible reassures everyone of this perfect place of everlasting love, peace, joy & happiness.
What do u think heaven is like?

It's like being in church forever. Sitting on a hard pew early on a Sunday morning next to your smelly grandmother who sings horribly out of tune...

A pastor was in a car wreck (about 50 miles from me, in fact) and experienced Heaven. It was unbelievable.

I highly recommend this book.

Cute. But your statement is like telling someone to commit suicide, no thank you. My point was, with all the hate in this world, heaven's got to be better, at least those of us that believe it exists would hope it is.

Hate in this world? Most hate I see on tv and on the streets is religious folk trying to help eachother asap to different heavens.

There is no heaven, no hell. There is nothing. You will be the same as before you're conception. Unaware, nothing more than a bunch of spread(ing) molecules.

You'll even be oblivious (in death) of the absence of heaven, because of this.

Btw as I've gathered, those who commit suicide, do not go to heaven (according to the rules) so I'd not promote it. And I'd like you to stick around for manier years to come. Still the promise of heaven is tantelizing enough for lots of folk to kill or get killed. Any death in name of any religion or belief is a pointless one.

oh I love hearing about near-death experiences biggrin

I think heaven(or any afterlife state) is a little bit different for everybody tho. He's a Christian but many people from all faiths have these experiences and have come back to tell about them.

I highly recommend this book.

On the way home from a conference, Don Piper's car was crushed by a semi-truck that crossed into his lane. Medical personnel said he died instantly. While his body lay lifeless inside the ruins of his car, Piper experienced the glories of heaven, awed by its beauty and music.

90 minutes after the wreck, while a minister prayed for him, Piper miraculously returned to life on earth with only the memory of inexpressible heavenly bliss. His faith in God was severely tested as he faced an uncertain and grueling recovery. Now he'd like to share his life-changing story with you.

90 Minutes in Heaven offers a glimpse into a very real dimension of God's reality. This New York Times bestseller encourages those recovering from serious injuries and those dealing with the loss of a loved one. The experience dramatically changed Piper's life, and it will change yours too.

"A friend handed me this book at about midnight, and come two or three in the morning, I was still reading, my heart pumping, bumps on my arms, the hairs on the back of my neck on end. It's a wonderful and inspiring story that brightens your perspective, giving you a sense of security, clarity and warmth."--Donald Miller, author, Blue Like Jazz

"The book describes the brief but sweet heavenly reunion Piper enjoyed with deceased relatives (as well as his grueling recovery, which has included 34 surgeries)."--Publishers Weekly

"Captivating and well written, this books holds your attention and often holds your heart. Don tells his story, his experience that all Christians long to hear. I appreciate especially his honesty and candid feelings of dealing with his recovery and pain. Don's experience will lift your spirit and soften any pain."--Ron Hill, pastor, The Fellowship of San Antonio

"Don Piper's ninety minutes in heaven changed his life and his perspective. Reading his book will give you the assurance that God is faithful to bring you through even the most horrific of circumstances. May his eyewitness account of the hope that lies before you change your perspective of this life as well!"--Michael Carter, CBN chief financial officer

False hope sells. The story of religion in a nutshell.

There is an evolutionary substance in earth's history before & after Adam & Eve. God created it all, from the first living cell. Then he got good when he created man & woman! biggrin But, God has gotten even better, he has perfected the afterworld (the new planet)...heaven itself! cool

Suicide will cause u to be in judgement with God! Hell is being in judgement with God! Sitting waiting to be released like a prisoner to go to the heaven (the new earth). This earth will be the burning hell soon! Those non-believers devil worshippers will burn for eternity. The devil wants u to commit suicide! U wanna go sit in judgement with him...he will tortue u while u r there!
If u do not have the knowledge of God and his word (the bible), u will be doomed in judgement, waiting to be released to the burning hell of this earth which is called the Rapture! Read Revelations or look up Rapture on the web. cool
[Edited 7/27/09 9:46am]
Also, look up tribulation on the web. It's all right there 4 u people! Believe it, Jesus is coming! U still have some time! eek
