WTF are you talking about?

What would change socially? Are we bringing back Jim Crow? Doubtful.
Is this supposed to mean blacks are always to be afraid of Republicans like something under the bed?

If McCain = Bush then what's the difference?

Meanwhile, civic knowledge is enhanced by discussing public affairs, taking part in civic activities and reading about current events and history, the group said.

It's not really being appalled by the concept as much as it would be incredulity.

Ok, now I think I get what you're trying to say. Yes, the ignorance of the loonies that hang at McCain/Palin rallies is alarming but it shouldn't make us scared. That's exactly what their intent is to scare people. Intimidation to inflict inaction isn't going to work.

No, I'm not afraid because I don't believe these morons are the majority of the country and they will not force the country back to the days of Jim Crow.

That's why it is so important not to be afraid. If we don't stand up and let it be known in no uncertain terms that that bullshit is not going to work, then we are doomed to keep living it. We can't erase the past but it doesn't have to be our future.

no shit?

incredulous or not, i think genetically programmed into every Black American is intuitivness of the characterics of racism and bigotry, and rightfully so. as other species are through evolution instinctively aware of it's predator, so is every Black American living today decendent of slavery and jim crow...this of course is still my own opinion.

Hatemongering is still gross.

You know you aren't alone in being the victim of racial hate both physically and economically.

Exposing America's past? Here in P & R? (Excuse me while I laugh. It's an obsession.)

I can understand that completely but I think it's far more important to take action against racism and bigotry whenever it appears. There should be NO need for Black American (and Black people everywhere for that matter...) to have this "Sixth Sense". Therefore I say call'em out at every opportunity!

They aren't racists in their language or application.

Racism is racism.
Racism is not a right like freedom to assemble, freedom of speech, etc.
The Patriot Act and FISA are equal opportunity oppressors.

I'm not inclined to live in fear or run around scared either.

if you are insulted than good. you should be. and every white American, if hope you're insulted enough to rally others to be insulted. passion changes things.
