Jehovah's witness shot

You know what bugs me about this heading: Is that they put the Religion first not the person.

Would it be just as shocking if it said "Catholic/Hindu/Buddhist/Pagan/Protestant shot! Would it eck!

This is still a very sad and shocking story. What we have to remember here is that even if the parents were Catholic/Hindu/Jewish/Muslim etc they do not approve of marrying outside their religion. I am not saying in ALL CASES but the devote ones frown on it. I don't blame religion for the mess this is in its the boy with gun and his ultimately warped view and lack of love for human life.

A businessman died and his wife was critically injured after a double shooting at their Cornwall home.

Adam Hustler, 41, from Porth Kea, near Truro, died of his injuries following the attack on Saturday. His wife, Amanda, was badly injured.

A 23-year-old man, believed to be the former boyfriend of the couple's daughter, was arrested at a house in Penzance yesterday in connection with the shooting.

He is being treated in hospital for self-inflicted facial injuries which police said were not connected to his arrest. It was unclear whether his injuries were firearm-related.

Police went to the house on Saturday following a 999 call. Mr Hustler and his wife were taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske, Truro, where Mr Hustler died of his injuries.

Mrs Hustler, 40, was later transferred to Derriford hospital in Plymouth. She was believed to have been shot twice and was said to be in a critical condition.

The couple's daughter, Danielle, was believed to be in the house at the time of the incident, and is helping police. Officers said they had also found the gun believed to have been used in the shooting, a .22 hunting rifle.

Mr Hustler was the managing director of a drain-clearing company in Truro, Clear-Flow Ltd.

Mr Hustler was described by a representative of the Jehovah's Witnesses, to which the couple belonged, as a "generous" man.

Tim Mears, of the Jehovah's Witnesses, said: "Adam Hustler was a loving husband and father. He was a generous and caring person who thought the world of his wife and daughters."

Tasteless humor I know.

This is sad.

Perhaps I miss read this but nothing in the article says why the boy shot these parents. Some people have some serious mental issues which makes them think they are entitled to things and people. Maybe that was what was wrong with this boy.

Man in UK shoots ex-lover's parents

A JILTED man shot his ex-girlfriend's father dead and then took aim at her mother, injuring her critically.

The attack in Cornwall, England, came a month after Mr and Mrs Adam Hustler, ordered their 20-year-old daughter, Miss Danielle Hustler, to break off her year-long romance with Jonathan Cock because he wasn't a Jehovah's Witness like her family, reported the Daily Mail.

Cock was also sacked from his job at the Hustlers' sewage company.

On Saturday night, the 23-year-old shot Mr Hustler, 41, with a high-velocity hunting rifle as his former girlfriend watched.

Then he shot Mrs Amanda Hustler, 39, twice in the back as she tried to escape her family's £500,000 ($1.3 million) seven-bedroom home.
