i don't always disagree with his points, but i wish they had a more substantive co-host - Mika and Willie only seem to be there to boost Joe's ego. i'd like to see him go head-to-head with Rachel Maddow - now there would be an interesting discussion. | |

[Edited 8/27/08 16:18pm] Say what you want about Wall's rant about the stage (which ignores the incumbent's similarly "regal" stage at the 2004 RNC convention, replete with a co-opting of the presidential seal for partisan purposes), the premise of the post is correct. The GOP has the upper hand in this election, because the Dems are asking a lot of the American people. To change the policies of the executive branch, the politics of the executive branch, and most of all, the complexion of the executive branch. At the same time. Some of this side stuff is just conservatives' disdain for the Dems' "uppity" candidate for having the nerve to try to appear presidential while running for president.
