The white dolphin known in Chinese as "baiji," shy and nearly blind, dates back some 20 million years. Its disappearance is believed to be the first time in a half-century, since hunting killed off the Caribbean monk seal, that a large aquatic mammal has been driven to extinction. We've gotta take better care of the planet, people http://www.foxnews.com/st...26,00.html The yangtze river dolphin was declared effectively extinct already about a year ago. This is old news to me....but I guess they've kept searching. Either way, truly tragic | |
