In-depth study of the Bhagavad Gita on Emancipation Radio

Hey orgers,

I thought some of you might be interested in this:

Every Thursday night on Emancipation Radio, I host a show called "Ancient Wisdom Meets New Power Soul". The show is designed to explore ancient scriptural truths and make them palatable to the modern mind.

A few weeks ago, we bagan a comprehensive study of the Hindu Bible - the Bhagavad Gita - using the translation and commentary by Paramahansa Yoganada, entitled "God Talks With Arjuna: The Royal Science of God-Realization". Through it, we will explore such topics as yoga, meditation, Self-realization, and the esoteric interpretation of scripture.

The show begins at 6:00pm PT (9:00pm ET) and runs for 2 hours.

Several listeners have been gathering in The Holy River chat room during the show to discuss the topics, as well.

You can tune in by going to either of the web-sites linked above and using the embedded player, or download the playlist (PLS) file and use it with the player of your choice. (Check out the "Listen" page @ ER for more info.)

Please feel free to contact me with questions or comments about the show:

Tonight (July 24, 6:00pm PT, 9:00pm ET), we're getting back into

Karma Yoga: The Path Of Spiritual Action
Chapter 3, Verse 9.
The Nature Of Right Action: Performing All Works As Oblations

I hope you can tune in...

Esa, you were talking during this show about how to perform all actions for God. How can one perform all actions for God, especially when there are things that come up during the day at work that can cause stress and take your focus from God? Also can you discuss a little more about what an "oblation" is and how one goes about performing an "oblation"?

ing one day about racial prejudice, Paramahansa Yogananda said, "God is not pleased to be insulted when He wears His dark suits."
