I read a news organization's prediction, weeks ago, that she would be out by May 9...

1. Sen. Clinton's money. Word is she loaned her campaign more money, and after tonite, the well, she may be dry. 2. The popular vote count. If Chuck Todd on MSNBC is correct, even if you count Florida and Michigan's votes, Obama would hold an insurmountable lead due to 1) the big NC win and 2) the closing of the gap in IN. Personally, if this were an NBA game, the Obamas would have a 7 point lead with 40 seconds to go, and the Clintons would have no fouls to give. Yeah, Clinton's been having trouble paying bills for months... If the math is overwhelmingly in Obama's favor, we might see her go for gravitas and grace in the morning. Gore was on NPR this afternoon with Terry Gross, talking about how the Democrats would have a nominee "well before the convention." "Yeah, I know ... I missed a verse. Think of that before you post on the org...think of that before you have a conversation with your co-workers or neighbors. We are in this together and we all need to have one big giant group hug and come together. Starting tomorrow. Ok but as soon as Hillary gets her ass out of the way (like she should have already...I'm just saying) we can begin the process of getting those supporters! Hillary so far...is now trying to bank on Michigan and Florida. The only "democratic" way to count Florida and Michigan is with a do over! As a Michigander, who was not able to cast my vote for Obama, I say to Hillary..."Come on, bring it back to Michigan, if you dare!" WAKE THE FUCK UP AMERICA!!!! WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!!

Not sure how much stock you can put into poll numbers. However i've seen certain ones that indicate a substantial number of "her supporters" would not vote for Obama in the general election if she loses the nomination. Sounds like sour grapes if you ask me. tA Tribal Disorder

http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 I think the Hillary supporters that say they'll vote for McCain in November should Obama get the nomination, are the same ones that overwhelmingly voted for Hillary to begin with...the white over 65 voters...to which case I say...they'd have NEVER voted for Obama to begin with based purely on the fact that he is a Black man! Yep, umm hmm, I said it, somebody had to! [Edited 5/7/08 1:34am] WAKE THE FUCK UP AMERICA!!!! WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!!

All I can say is...I don't have anything major against the Clintons..but I really think if we let Obama go..there isn't going to be a canidate with this much integrity in a VERY long time...if she wins she has GOT to beg him to be her VP...he is just too good to pass up...Barack is a one of a kind...I hope people wake up and realise this! | |

Sorry but if anybody should be VP, it's her! However, in my personal opinion, she's stunk up her campaign so bad that I [Edited 5/7/08 1:48am] WAKE THE FUCK UP AMERICA!!!! WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!!

Exactly. A sane & reasonable radio talk show posed the "Dream Ticket" option to the audience this evening. Two different callers that identified themselves as Republicans (not the Operation Crackpot zombie types) said they would seriously consider voting for Obama over McCain but not if Clinton was his choice as V.P. I'm still convinced that Republicans would come out in droves just to vote against her in any capacity. Just my opinion but if she were Obama's V.P., he'd probably have to sleep with one eye open and have an extra set installed in the back of his head for the next four years. tA Tribal Disorder

My guess is that Hillary will continue campaigning in West Virginia and Kentucky where she still has a huge lead in the polls but the delegate counts are lower. From what I heard, a number of superdelegates are going to publicly come out in support of Obama over the next few days, and that by the time the Kentucky and Oregon primaries happen in two weeks, Obama will have locked up a majority of the pledged delegates, thereby giving the remaining superdelegates a reason to officially choose him as the Democratic nominee, at which point Obama agrees to let Hillary seat her Michigan and Florida delegates and she quietly drops out of the race.
