Ron Paul stuns the media and shatters the records

It's all over the web and hopefully you'll be watching it on TV tomorrow.

2 weeks ago a couple of Ron Paul supporters got together to come up with a fundraising idea: thisnovember5th.com (i made the graphic biggrin)

Unprecedented…

A grassroots effort was able to generate more than 4 million dollars in 24 hours. This is the biggest online contribution in Presidential history. It disposes Mitt Romney's 3.1 million one day fundraiser(featuring corporate bigwigs). Made more money than Oprah's fundraiser for Obama… dayummmm… WHAT?!

I'm real happy right now. Hate if you will, but I'm on cloud9

…and thanks to all the Ron Paul supporters out here! Spread the joy and make a post.

it's only fitting that a thread about ron paul gets my last post.

i came back to the org a few months ago specifically to drum up talk of ron paul in a forum that had heard very little of him. now he's so popular and his support is growing so quickly, he's able to raise 4.2 million dollars in a day.

keep talking about him and keep posting about him. this broken record is only the beginning of a new direction for this nation. ghandi said, "first they ignore you, then they fight you, and finally you win." remember those words and pay attention.

ron paul in 2008!

peace to all through the prince of peace.

pray peace pray

It was an impressive haul. I'll admit I thought it would fail miserably, but they pulled it off.

I will also say it sucks the media is largly ignoring legitimate news about his campaign. Fox News IS running a top story on the Texas Snake Man though. They report, you decide!

I still disagree almost across the board with him except on Iraq, but I'll give props when earned.

This is untoward! This is not toward!

Those of us able to access alternative sources of news already knew this promotion would be a smashing success for Ron Paul. People don't realize the support Ron Paul has around the country because the mainstream media has ignored him, hoping he would just go away. That neglect is actually helping Ron Paul as it's providing cause for more movement by supporters, and that movement is translating into growing support and more financing.

I keep hearing about Ron Paul's low poll numbers, but then I keep hearing about his huge financial successes and massive online support. Take a look at the polls they use for the national estimates and you'll see Ron Paul isn't even on some of them. Of course he's polling low, it's set up to put the "big" guys on top. Thank goodness this manipulation is not working.

With 56 days until the Iowa primary, time is running out for the mainstream manipulation method. Here is a map, courtesy of www.ronpaul2008.com , with the list of primary dates and deadlines for the entire nation. Check it out!

I knew the electorate would like him. This just goes to show how completely dishonest the media is, on both sides of the political spectrum. The only guy who will really take him seriously is Bill Mahar, of all people. I have the strangest bedfellows these days. I'll grant that Jay Leno was kind.

This campaign puts me in the mind of Howard Dean's early lead, which he lost because as much as the electorate dislikes war, they don't take kindly to candidates that openly threaten to destroy the world economy. Given that, Ron Paul might actually take this thing...

Fear is the mind-killer.
