Birth control pills are the "option" with the highest rate of success in preventing pregancy. How do you feel about putting a bunch of unwanted children on the world? Also, my DOCTOR prescribed birth control pills (not hormone pills) for my migraines. She is a specialist in her field. She did not prescribe them to me for birth control. i am pro-choice.....but this isnt an issue of choice..its an issue of business having equal rights as woman... the US Supreme court has already ruled as such.... As a PHARMACIST does he have that right? That is the question! If he has absolutely no legal obligation to provide the service as a healthcare provider, then you may have a point in this whole business owner argument. But if he is failing to live up to his legal obligations, and it sounds like it if he's only basing his decision on a moral basis on not whether or not the prescription may harm the patient as indicated in SPCM's post above on Texas state pharmacy rules on what basis a pharmacist may make that judgement call...thenyour whole private business owner rights argument has no merit. 2009: Mermaids and Dolphins... | |

Let's just take away all their rights and treat them like they do in 3rd world countries....worse than stray dogs. I can't believe as a gay man you stand behind and support this guys "right" to deny this woman healthcare business rights or not. So some asshole can just make it so that a woman now needs to walk miles and miles and miles to obtain a legal prescription he's probably supposed to be providing her under Texas law? I agree she should do what she needs to do to get her prescription, and that should include telling her boyfriend or husband to fuck off for thinking about touching her. Perhaps if men felt the brunt of this they would take as much interest and action against this stupid asshole who is so misguided it's not even funny. .
