Celebrate The Life of a Loved One...

Celebrate the life of someone special who is no longer with U.
If there is a song that is special 2 u or them: post the lyrics,
If u have a photo u would like 2 share: post it,
If u just want 2 write a paragraph or 2 of a special memory, feel free 2 do so.
Just one 'rule', with this particular thread no off-topic posts - please.
Thanx.

The Dance
Garth Brooks
(Lyrics: Tony Arata)

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars alone
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I a king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have chanced it all

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance

For Gavin - Not a day goes by where I dont think about u with a smile or a tear.
Some days are so much harder than others.
What can I say?
I miss u SO very much...
x

Hmm I really hope "no longer with u" also counts in mental ways...

But I'd like to celebrate Azuolas, who has gone his own ways... haven't seen him for 2 years now, and don't know where he is now.

I just wanna say that I love him, and I always will. love

Here's something I'd like to post for him:

U're my saviour, U're all I ever need
Where would I be now without your love

Hey Mama Banana! Thank you for posting this thread. Love you to bits...xxx. For the memory of my nephew William, who left us 01/02/02 at the age of fourteen from bone cancer, I would like to dedicate the lyrics to Prince's song Last December.

Last December
(Lyrics: Prince)

If ur Last December came...
What would u do?
Would anybody remember...
2 remember u?

Did u stand tall?
Or did u fall?
Did u give ur all?

Did u ever find a reason...
Y u had 2 die?
Or did u just plan on leaving...
Without wondering y?

Was it everything it seemed?
Or did it feel like a dream?
Did u feel redeemed?

In the name of the Father
In the name of the Son
We need 2 come 2gether
Come 2gether as one

Did u love somebody?
But got no love in return?
Did u understand the real meaning of love?
That it just is and never yearns?

When the truth arrives...
Will u b lost on the other side?
Will u still b alive?

In the name of the Father
In the name of the Son
We need 2 come 2gether
Come 2gether as one

In ur life did u just give a little?
Or did u give all that u had?
Were u just somewhere in the middle?
Not 2 good, not 2 bad?

In the name of the Father
In the name of the Son
We need 2 come 2gether
Come 2gether as ONE...

Thank you, banana, for posting these lyrics for me. I just couldn't do it. Now I see why...the tears are coming now.

Crying's a good thing.
Really nothing 2 be ashamed of.
You should not forget happy times.
It helps u remember.
Nobody wants 2 forget.
Good times, good memories.

To My Baby Sister:

for 12 years you gave me happiness while you were here, and even though you could not walk nor talk when i would sing to you would smile, when u passed away i was heartbroken and angry and hurt, on how my baby sister could leave us. but then i realized that you were always sick and you just became tired, and u were called home to not be in pain and be sick anymore, you are never ever far away. for i have your name on my arm to always have you with me.so for you My Baby sister, i love you and miss you everyday.

For my Aunt Mimi, who died when I was in my early teens. . .a few memories. She:

*tied an amythest charm around my neck and told me that it would give me patience with my little sister

*put teddy bears in her (psych) office, and once framed a bunch of miniature pictures for a client who wouldn't come out from under his desk. . she brought the world to him

*suggested pink toenail polish as therapy

*loved to dance

*loved my wonderful Uncle Paul

*was my first introduction to a real, live, bisexual person, though I didn't understand at the time. . .she was a beautiful example of loving many and loving big
