Anyone ever been able to predict things accurately?
I've had several experiences in which weird things have happened.
Wow. Interesting. I'm a pretty firm believer in intuition, clairvoyance and whatnot. I think we all have it (ESP) to different degrees(or are able to process and use it at dfferent degrees). I keep going back to the FACT that there's so much that we don't know about the brain, perception etc. We only understand a fraction of the hows and whys of our brains, so what about the rest? How does it help? Also, i need to be clear that I'm not necessarily talking about those TV/media psychics. i think most of those people are flat out fakes or have limited abilities.
Anyways, in my youth, i think i killed too many brain cells(by wine and other substances, women, and song lol) to take full advantage of what ESP i may have had. There have been a few situations though, that were kind of trippy. They could have just been coincidences, or maybe not...
One was in San Francisco. At the Westfield Centre Mall. There was a new Skechers store that was opening and they were having a free raffle for some new shoes. There were about a hundred people there, and for some reason i had this overwhelming feeling that i was going win the raffle. So i said to my friend, "watch, I'm going to win". And he was like, whatever... So they call the name of the winner. And i won. i know it probably was coincidence, but just as sure as i know my own name, i knew i was going to win those new shoes. There was no doubt at all. So, i picked out a 70 something dollar(or maybe 50 dollars, shit, i'm gettng old) pair of Skechers boots and was a happy camper.
The other time was this dream that i had. in the dream, i was on the passenger side of this car, where me and 3 other people were on a elevated freeway. i remember looking out and seeing a bunch of houses surrounded by water. The houses were like on a island. This was back around 1990(no web searches). So fast forward to 1995. Things were bad and i decided to move to Seattle. i was working at this temp agency(labor ready) and we got a job at this big mansion that was being built. Me and 3 other people got picked and were headed there, when i had a deja vu. i realised that what i was seeing was exactly like the dream i had 5 years prior. The same looking houses, the same elevated freeway, the same looking people(one black, one white) in the back seats, and the same driver(white). What i was seeing(and where we were headed) was Mercer island. Mercer island is a affluent area of the Seattle Metro area, and has a distinctive look. i really don't know what that was about. At that time the only thing i knew about Seattle(besides the music) was the space needle, and that it rained a lot. i knew really nothing about it's topography.
The third thing was a conversation i had with my mom. i was at her house when she came home from work. She walked in and said, "Joey, i want you to do something for me". And my reply was, "yeah, I'll do it". And she said "you don't even know what i'm gong to ask you". And i said "you want me to mow the front lawn and clean up the rotten fruits in the back". And she said "how did you know that"?? And i said, "i just knew"...
So, idk. i know that none of what i mentioned is super convincing. Like i said before, it could all be coincidence . i do know that in the cases of my mom and the raffle, i absolutely knew what my mom was thinking, and that i was going to win the raffle prize.
Anyways, here's a interesting Paranormal Witness episode that deals with someone's claimed "psychic abilities". Apparently the woman helped solve a murder. it's a good episode. it's called Throught The Eyes Of A Killer.
