Rumor: Captain Pike Star Trek Series In The Pipeline At CBS ...

There are talks of a Pike series. Honestly cancel Discovery, have Burham, Saru and Tilly transfer to Enterprise, think it would be a better show.

Love this new reboot and I'm half way through Picard and it's been pretty good as well.

I love Pike, but I don't want to see anymore prequel stuff. I don't get why they're so focused on series. A Pike/Enterprise movie or miniseries would be good, less opportunity to mess with continuity.

Curious what you think when you get to the end. The ending was pretty bad, in my not-so-humble opinion.

Because it feels more like Star Trek than Discovery ever will

What about Discovery ending?? Feels like "Hey Discovery disappeared and let's not talk about it"

It does, but as good as Pike is, that's how bad Spock is.

At least they're moving forward. I'm done with the past. Hopefully that series will wrap it up with season 3.

I'm Ok with him, at times he does look like Spock, the voice throws things off.

I'm ok if they do a prequel as long as they follow Star Trek history, but Hollywood never does. I wish they put Vic Mignogna in charge of a Star Trek series, he nailed it with Star Trek continues. I would like to see a Star Trek series set exactly where the orginal series ended. You can call it like Star Trek Endeavour, a new ship and crew and they can be like a bridge between the Original Series/Enterprise and TNG/DS9/Voyager, You can have them introduce the Betazoids for the first time, show a young Tuvok, have Ambassodor T'Pol (played by Jolene Blalock) on it was well. Introduce a young ensign Saavik. Guessing you like a series set in the Picard TV series time line as well (haven't seen it yet). I'm ok with it too but let's not try to change to much stuff, you know what I'm talking about, trying to appeal to a younger audience and fuck the long time fans. In Picard series you can find out what happened with the other series as well. Did Sisko ever return from the wormhole?? Plus they never mentioned if Sisko and Cassidey had a boy or girl. Voyager.........are they still doing missions, and if so who is the Captain, Chakotay or Tuvok? But if they do a Pike series here is what I like to see. Have Burham, Saru, and Tily transfer to Enterprise. Set up the series to honor story lines of all the series. Have T'pol be like a mentor to Spock. Have many of the bridge officer in it from the cage episode, Dr. Boyce. You can also have many of the Enterprise cast members to guset star as well. You can even set it up to have cast members who appeared in the episode "Where no man has gone before", which is really the 2nd pilot episode for Star Trek though the network aired it as the third episode. Have Dr. Boyce killed off and have Dr. Piper, bring in Gary Mitchell, Dr. Denher, Smith, Kelso and so on.

I like "when" Picard is set, I don't like their take on how the federation behaves or their version of the universe. I like many aspects of the show, and hate just as many others. Without spoiling anything for you I couldn't say much more, except maybe waaaay too many "fucks" (one is too many for Star Trek) and a key element of the finale is just stupid.

But as I've said before, the worst Star Trek is better than most tv. I'm a lifelong fan, I'll keep watching.

Better question is who is that girl by Torres and Chakotay? Guessing a lucky fan. No Kes, but she's having problems in real life.

I’ve been watching the various Star Trek series in order, as they are on Netflix here. Enjoyed TOS, and TNG (mostly), but am seriously flagging having reached series 2 of DS9. I may skip DS9 and try Voyager.

Also recently watched Discovery (couldn’t stand it) and Picard (liked).

DS9 just gets better and better. I would recommend sticking with it.

Wow, didn't even recognize her. Funny how much some people change when they get older while others pretty much look the same.

Especially the Dominion war, though they had one to many grand nagus episodes.

Never seen that show. I know she was on one of those weird cartoon live shows.

DS9 is definitely worth watching as well as Voyager. TNG geared up after Season 2 and never let up until it's terrific ending.
