Give it to Bruce Timm

That would be great for a complete reboot with different actors. Let Snyder finish his version off.

Emma is right, to late for Snyder. Keep Gal Gadot and hire Bruce Timm who vision sticks to DC

It's too late for that now. Ben Affleck has already moved on and I'd doubt he'd be willing to come back after his experience so far with Warner Bros. Besides, Robert Pattinson's Twilight Batman seems to be the direction they're going in now. So, with Affleck out, they've lost their star player. And according to Amy Adams, it looks like her and Henry Cavill are out too. She said that WB were moving in a different direction with Superman. So that's that as far as the continuity of the DCEU is concerned. A completely fresh reboot would be one way to go but I don't trust them not to ruin it again. Television is the answer. Get yourself a competent writer, not anyone involved in any of the CW shows, and do it properly. Make Batman like a detective show. As in The Wire, not CSI. The Superman show should be a bit more light-hearted but don't make it silly. Give it a similar tone to the Donner cut of Superman 2. So with Batman and Superman on television, it frees up the cinema for properties who haven't had their own movies before or have been done wrong. Then tie them all together. A Catwoman movie could feature Batman from the TV series in a cameo for example. But only a cameo. Give each hero (and villain) space to do their own thing. Then, after a few seasons of the shoes and a couple of movies, you do a Justice League movie. By then, all the characters are established so when you see them team up on screen, it actually means something.

I can not stress how horrible Greg Berlanti vision is. All he cares about is pushing his vision of being so PC. Honestly get the creators invovled with Gotham, Bruno Heller. Or get the people involved with Smallville, look how good the WB/CW Smallville was (well the first 5 years or so........dragged out because Tom Welling didn't want to put on the suit). I seriously want to kick Greg Berlanti in the balls

Why do idiots still try to downplay this guy who is a better actor than all the previous actors who played Batman? (Obviously only talking about Keaton and Bale here since they can act the fuck out of a movie when they feel like it and not those shitty moviestars like Kilmer and Clooney...)
This is like reading those retarded rants from useless critics back in 1989 regarding Keaton's "Mr. Mom" Batman... Humans really are too dumb to take a shit... Nice to have Covid-19 around to remove some of them...

Anyway, Snyder got fucked and never had the chance to make the "Man Of Steel" sequel or the "Justice League" movies he wanted because WB already raped his ideas right after "Man Of Steel" disappointed WB...

"BvS" was a movie Snyder didn't want to make and he was forced by WB to put Batman in there and "Justice League" was already fucked by WB before he left, the original story that he wanted to make was axxed by WB and his WB sanctioned version was later raped by them and Joss Whedon...

A full blown Bruce Timm overseen reboot of the DCEU is a pipedream... Every sane DC fan would want that so we'll never get that from WB...

I'm in the graphic design industry....for years, some of my fellow designers who've worked for (or had dealings with) WB tell me the same shit.....the suits in charge have no idea what the fuck they're doing.

At least there's one thing we all agree on - Nicholas Cage as Superman would have been the biggest disaster since the Hindenberg.

[Edited 3/13/20 16:15pm]

Hey it could have been worse the Nicholas Cage

According to a recent interview with Will Smith, he was offered the iconic role of Superman in Bryan Singer's Superman Returns before it was offered to Brandon Routh. Thankfully, Smith had the presence of mind to turn it down. According to MTV: "There is no way I'm playing Superman!'

There's a recent rumor that Michael B. Jordan is going to play Superman, but he denied it's true. In the comic books, Superman did turn Lois Lane into a black woman though. lol

At least it's not John Wayne playing Genghis Khan in The Conqueror. razz This was the same time period when Wonder Woman lost her powers and worked in a clothing store and Batman had multicolored Batsuits. At the time, Jimmy Olsen had his own comic too. I read that Lois story in a compilation of old Superman comics. There's also stories where there are black people living on Krypton, but they were mostly in a separate place called Vathlo Island. There's a 1970s comic where Superman fights Muhammad Ali and a 1980s one with He-Man.

I think this Lois comic was based on a 1964 movie called Black Like Me. The Eddie Murphy skit on SNL (White Like Me) is sort of a parody of that. There's another 1960s movie called The Black Klansman (not the Spike Lee movie) with a kind of similar story.

Yeah I remember that one. Wonder how much this comic book would be worth if Christopher Reeves and Muhammad Ali signed it?? Sadly both are no longer with us sad

I'm already nearing that point. Will Smith being cast as Superman would definitely tip me over the edge.

I like Michael B Jordan. Ever since I seen him in The Wire, I could see that he was a very good actor. But he's not Superman. At least, he's not Clark Kent. If they want to make a movie where Kal El is dead or mysteriously missing and Michael B Jordan plays another Kryptonian who takes on the role of Superman, I'd give it a chance. It could be an interesting story. But if he were cast in the role of Clark Kent then I'd have serious doubts about the motives behind such a casting decision.

New Comics Delayed Across Industry in Wake of Coronavirus Concerns
by Graeme McMillan • March 23, 2020 • The Hollywood Reporter

Diamond Distributors, the distributor for Marvel and DC, will no longer be shipping physical copies of comics as the pandemic shutters retailers around the country.

Diamond Distributors, the distributor for Marvel and DC, will no longer be shipping physical copies of comics as the pandemic shutters retailers around the country.

In what is undoubtedly the biggest comics announcement in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, Diamond Comics Distributors has told publishers that it will no longer be accepting new product at its warehouses, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The move essentially paralyzes a significant part of the comic book industry for the foreseeable future.

Diamond is the exclusive periodical distributor for a number of core publishers in the industry, including Marvel Entertainment, DC, Dark Horse Comics, Image Comics, Boom! Studios and Dynamite Publishing. It also is the world’s largest distributor of English-language comics and graphic novels. As such, the company’s decision to refuse delivery of new product to its warehouses places the Western print comic book industry on hiatus for an undetermined time.

Product already in the warehouses will be delivered to stores through April 1, according to Diamond, although that may change.

The news follows a significant slowdown for the industry, with publishers delaying shipments and retailers forced to close stores as the coronavirus continues to spread. Diamond informed publishers and retailers of its plans on Monday. The news was initially reported by Bleeding Cool, although Diamond did not confirm until retailers had been notified.

There are a number of unanswered questions surrounding the announcement, not least of which is how publishers will respond. Will digital releases be similarly delayed to maintain day-and-date releases in both digital and print, or will publishers allow digital releases as originally scheduled? Expect more on this story in the coming days.

The Batman Director Offers Coronavirus Shutdown Update
by John Ridlehoover | Mar 26, 2020 | CBR

The Batman was one of the many upcoming films that had to halt production due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Now, director Matt Reeves has offered a status update on the crew's health, as well as the film's production.

"Yes, we have shut down till it is safe for us all to resume..." Reeves said to a fan asking if production had indeed ceased. "Everyone safe for the moment, thank you for asking, and stay safe too..."

Other upcoming film and television show productions that have experienced delays due to coronavirus include Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Wandavision, among many more. Coronavirus has also caused the indefinite delay of a number of theatrical releases, including Black Widow, Mulan and The New Mutants.

In the United States alone, there have been more than 68,000 cases of people infected with coronavirus, with a death toll just shy of 1,000. The World Health Organization is urging everyone to frequently wash their hands and to stay home if possible.

With Ben Affleck having stepped down from the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman, Reeves' film will instead focus on a younger version of the Caped Crusader. The Batman is set to feature a cavalcade of the Dark Knight's rogues, including The Riddler, Catwoman The Penguin and Carmine Falcone.

Directed and co-written by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Jayme Lawson and Peter Sarsgaard. The film arrives in theaters June 25, 2021.
