Do not go gentle into that good night

Dylan Thomas, 1914 - 1953

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

that's right, i believe a person can die just from lack of will, i saw my sis (happy birthday patti) just give up after she was told "you've had full blown aids for awhile now" she thought she was just hiv positive, when the nurse told her that, she was gone. I also had a couple cats who were so close it was touching, when one died, the other just went in a closet and waited to die, i tried to help but he'd pee on me when I did.

So sad. He can't have long. I don't think I can watch the show anymore. It will be like watching him die and I'm sorry I just can't. It's brutal watching another human being die. At least it is for me. I'm sure some folks are unaffected by it. I'm not one of them. I guess I've witnessed too much death first hand and it's scarred me.
It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

yes it is, today i was trying to recall details of how i reacted when my sister was dying, i'm not proud of myself for the lack of strength i had, it just was a blackness that swallowed me up, i didn't handle it well at all.

I just hope he gives himself permission to leave if the symptoms become too much.

I have known far too many people afflicted by cancer in the past few years.

It's the #1 reasons why I am looking after my health and exercising so much recently.

I wish the best for him.
