First Oscar goes to Regina King for supporting actress Beale St. She earned it. She was amazing. I picked Rachel but both were awesome.

Didn't see this movie (or really any of the movies nominated this year), but have loved her since Boyz n the Hood n Poetic Justice clapping.

For all time I am with you, you are with me.

Black panther wins another one. Wow. I’m glad I didn’t bet money. This is the least memorable score of them all. Loved Beale St.

Green Book wins best picture. Mahershala Ali is in another great Oscar winning movie. Not my favorite movie of the year, but it is the warmest most inspiring movie of the year.

What a shit year for Oscar-bait movies. You know when crap like A Star Is Born is the favourite, its been a very forgettable year. Next year should be better. Martin Scorsese's The Irishman is my pick. Assuming it gets a cinema release so it can qualify for the Oscars.

Thanks for the reminder--really looking forward to this one.

There's a trailer out now for The Irishman. Literally all it is is just names written against a black background and the audio of a conversation between DeNiro and Pacino. But that's all that movie needs to create hype. A gangster movie directed by Martin Scorsese, starring DeNiro, Pacino, Pesci and Keitel. It would be like Sergio Leone doing a western with Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Lee Van Cleef, Gary Cooper and Timothy Olyphant.

OK, maybe not Timothy Olyphant, but I'll NEVER miss an opportunity to promote that man.

- The new ceremony format worked really well ... less of those painful 'skits' that no one found funny. They should stick with this for future ceremonies.

- Was hoping Bale would get Best Actor, but pleased they went for Malek as his performance was great, even if Bohemian Rhapsody is overrated.

- Really pleased Coleman won Best Actress ... what a journey she's had!

- What did Mahershala Ali have on his head?! Pleased he won though ... loving his work in True Detective season 3 at the mo.

- Few names missed out on the In Memorium section as usual. I get that there's a lot to cram in but no Dick Miller or R.Lee Ermey?

- Huge clanger at the end. Green Book didn't even make my top ten of the year. It'll be this generations Driving Miss Daisy. 2018 was a very average year for cinema (from March onwards) but there's no way Green Book was the best film of the year. With no frontrunner in the traditional 'Oscar bait' genre of movies the Academy should have taken the opportunity to give the award to something different like Mandy or Isle of Dogs

They could make a statue of Spike like that. Too cute.
