. Stunning, another song I don’t care for that The Bee flipped it ass up and spanked. . Hopefully they can get another star of this caliber based on her performance quality for the next season, to just decimate some songs you didn’t know you could hear in another way. Maybe Harry Connick or Michael McDonald for instance. . The costuming and staging is completely unique and adds to the context of the song, not the person. In this day and age where we celebrate and reward the beauty of the instant at the expense of enduring talent due to age or background story that determind almost popular irrelevance for instance, the concept of removing the person from the talent and replacing their physical self with a character is really clever and kind of moving once you step past the obvious kitsch that needs to be involved for it to be a network tv show.
