How in the world did they miss that?!! Even my missus, who knows next to nothing about football, questioned whether Robey-Coleman could lay a hit like that, and that was straight after seeing it in real time.

I stopped watching UK football a few years back for this sort of bulls*t ... sad to see it in the NFL where they're nearly always so good at getting this sort of thing right.

Tough for a Bills fan, but I'm gonna be cheering on the Patriots in the big game like they were my own team!

Where was the Chiefs defense on that final drive in OT? You're this close to the SB....SOMEBODY has to step up and make a play.

A quote from a Chiefs fan on twitter;

"If the Chiefs just knew to line up onsides, I'd be watching the Super Bowl in two weeks. Now I couldn't care less about it."

Yep and when their top puppetmaster(Roger Goodell)is in the crowd watching you know

some Vince McMahon type WWE shit about to go down. lol I've seen it happen too many times

over the years.

Maybe they need to rethink having sudden death in play at Championship games. This wasn't just the loss of one game from a no-call.

Hopefully Lady Boss Benson will give Goodell an earful for what it's worth. Honestly, this could happen with ANY team.

What part of watch Brady don't you people get. Heads, noboby calls heads? Coins stink. Penny, wanted your team to win. But my Rams bopped some Saints ass. Poppys, dear, root for my boys.

I thought it was a clean hit. The ball arrived right on time and they let them play. The refs were right there. I sure was relieved. lol

That interception was amazing. 57 yard field goal. woo.

Had hope for the Chiefs but they went limp. Too bad he couldn't get that touchdown instead of the lame field goal to tie. The coin did the rest.

The OT rule is fine as is - both teams get the ball if the first score is a FG. How about the defense doing THEIR job and get a stop? How about Dee Ford paying attention to detail and not getting a stupid penalty? Shit, they get paid too. You must play 60 minutes of football to beat NE. I had reservations about KC's defense and it showed up at winnin' time. Chiefs need to upgrade that D, which will be hard to do if they give Mahomes a reported $200mil contract.

Dee Ford made a HUGE mistake, and he knows it. He feels really bad about it. But feeling bad doesn't win games.

Rumor in KC has it that Brady hunted down Mahomes after the game and they had a private meeting. It was nice of Brady to talk to Mahomes and encourage him.

Eric Berry has to have surgery on his foot again, I imagine we will probably be getting rid of him since he hasn't played very much the last 2 years anyway.

Cuts are going to have to be made somewhere if the 200mil comes into play.

That big contract will seriously hurt KC's chances of building a top-flight defense. You need pass rushers to have a chance against Brady, but they cost money (so do A-list o-linemen). That's why you have to win it while your window of opportunity is open (like Seattle). Because of free agency and injuries, there's no guarantee KC will be in this position next year. The Patriots are the only constant, because they play chess while the rest of the league plays checkers.

Right?!! ... arrived right on time lol lol lol

At the point contact is made the ball is a legitimate 10ft away still ... not that RC would even know that as he doesn't once look back at the ball. His only aim is taking out the receiver.

And you could tell he knew it was a penalty; just look at his reaction after the play ... he instantly looked round at the refs waiting for the flag to be thrown, no celebration, no high-fives. Its only once he realised he had gotten away with it he went over to his teammates.

If plays like this were legal we'd see receivers getting smashed to the floor on every play and the sport would be alot different.

Reading everything yesterday, it seems the upshot is just better officiating. Like phunkdaddy said with the Steelers, there are so many factors. Saints made mistakes to keep the game that close in the first place.

They are considering making interceptions reviewable but that opens the door for making every penalty reviewable which sets up a long long game. I guess Belichick has been pushing for that for years.

https://www.nola.com/inte..._egre.html

Which blown call was more egregious: Rams interference or Chiefs roughing?

Pass interference calls can sometimes go either way, but what Nickell Robey-Coleman did to Tommylee Lewis was black and white. Even to the naked eye, everyone knew he was interfered with. Even Robey-Coleman knew it! The Saints could've put the game further away with a touchdown had it not been for the blown call. The refs need to make that obvious call.

The league is trying to protect the quarterback, but this is just ridiculous. Chris Jones barely touched Brady's helmet and yet got flagged for roughing the passer. Without that call, the Patriots would've been put in a difficult 3rd and long instead of marching down the field to score a go-ahead touchdown. If there's any evidence that New England gets preferential treatment, it's this "violent" hit.

Don't even get me started on the new roughing the passer rules this year! hrmph Not allowed to land with their body weight? Sorry, that's just how gravity works ... what do they expect the players to do, levitate?

Yeah that call on roughing the passer was just stupid. One of the Pats got Mahomes right in the knees, Mahomes was limping a little after that hit, but recovered...that is roughing the passer.

I was hoping for Saints v Patriots just to see two of this this generations greatest quarterbacks go head to head ... would have been a close high scoring game I reckon.

And I've got no beef with the Pats wining (and I say that as a Bills fan). I don't get all the hate for Brady. He is one of the all time greats and its good to see a player like that do well. I think the league will miss him when he's gone ... like when Jordan retired from baseball or Gretzy left ice hockey, it'll be the end of an era sad

I'll be cheering on the Pats anyway as I don't like to see cheats (ie. the Rams) prosper biggrin ... ironic I know given that its the Pats! lol

Freaky has no logical reason for hating the Saints, DaveT. When I first posted in the org P&R he immediately told me "New Orleans is a mess" - he's never been here.

You're right, a Brady and Brees SB would have been interesting. OG dust up.
