Harlots-season-2-2018-1.jpg

Harlots - Season 2

The melodrama was turned up this season in what is already an enjoyable trashy drama. 3.5/5

Norsemen 3/5 it's funny, I like the ancient look and costuming of it even though they use modern language and ideas.

Frontier 3/5 it has Jason in it

HUM∀NS - Season 3

Westworld has gotten much of the AI rebellion coverage, but this British remake of the Swedish TV series deserves to be seen too. And it's more of a metaphor for the pursuit of equal rights by insert-persecuted-minority-group-here. 4/5

The Romanoffs

It's hard to believe how disappointing this series was considering it's by Matthew Weiner, the creator of my favorite TV show, Mad Men. Some of the early episodes were terribly written bordering on insultingly bad. It looked good for the most part, being shot on location in multiple countries, but I would not recommend it to anyone when there are so many better TV shows on the air right now. 2.5/5

Bodyguard (2018) I found this series to be tense, brilliantly acted with alot of twists and turns. It's about a heroic but volatile war veteran working for the Specialist Protection Branch of London's Metropolitan Police Service. I give this a 4 out of 5 popcorn

^ I did forget Um, a 3.8/5. I could have just been in the mood but I think it was a very intriguing season, all the poisonings, all the chaos.

Been down with The Mother Of All Colds yesterday and today, so today I binged watched "Reno 911!" and "The Twilight Zone".

Both get a 10 out of 10 but special mention to "The Twilight Zone". It was SO GOOD.

Travelers. My kind of scifi 4.5/5. Everything is set in present day but still involves time travel, imperfect good people, missions, possibilities in technology, good fight scenes. And it explains the major how and why things are happening and doesn't leave you hanging. Woohoo.

Wentworth (season 6)

When it first came out, I watched "Orange is the New Black" and that was good... and at some point, I happened across Wentworth (a Woman's prison on Australia)... and it was AMAZING.... for about 4 seasons... But season 5 and even more with season 6 it has lost its edge. I hope season 7 picks up and I understand it was picked up for season 7 and 8!

If you have not seen Wentworth... start with season 1... and work through it... Like i said the first 4 are great... highly recommended.

I watched a few seasons of that. I enjoyed it. Guess I need to catch up since it's still going.

That was the most fun I've had in 2018. Not just while watching TV, but doing anything.

I admit it - some of the anachronisms in the dialogue trip me up. (It's an occupational hazard.) But if nothing else, that show is the most exquisite eye candy ever.

The Best Of Cybill (1995-1998) A great and iconic sitcom that deserved a proper Series 5 finale ( finger Les Moonves! mad ), starring the always fabulous Cybill Sheppard and Christine Baranski queen worship I give it a 4.5 out of 5 popcorn because this boxset does not contain all the series episodes shrug Neverthless, I had a great time binge watching it.

Oh Ferguson. Coming up against her is like playing chess with the devil, you are not going to win. She's beyond crazy. I love it.

The Conners

season 01

all episodes

Nice, dramatic finale that reminded me of Roseanne's best dramatic episodes from the 90s. Writing improved this season from season 10 of Roseanne. 9.0 finale/8.0 season

The Kids Are Alright

season 01

all aired episodes

Smarter than The Connors, I've been enjoying this comedy that sits after it more. 9.0

The Homecoming (2.5 of 5 stars)

I really wanted to like this more than I did. Julia Roberts was good, but the series itself was not as compelling as the premise. At times the score would be some rather bizarre and loud music to try to increase the suspense that was missing in the actual scene, but it just made it seem more disconnected. Also, I am willing to suspend some belief when something is well done, but none of this was captivating enough to do so.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (S1 2017)

Thoroughly enjoying this season 3 episodes in, as good as advertised and far edgieer than I thought it would be. The supporting cast is magnificent.

The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. 5/5. Everyone looked exactly alike. Wow. I think O.J. is guilty (He didn't make such a mess), but I think the Furman is guilty (He framed a guilty man) and that's why O.J. went free.

What?
