And missing open receivers

Not surprised Steelers won. I mean damn a 39 year old Tom Brady can't move out of the pocket and be effective like he used to. Pressure him and don't play that stale ass zone defense.

I'm just surprised the Steelers D held the Pats to 10 points. I was thinking more of a 31-27

type game. Yes Burns is probably good as gone next season. Never should have been drafted.

He was a panic pick after the Bengals snatched William Jackson a pick before them in the draft

two years ago. Thank god they have Haden. He's by far the most consistent defensive back the

Steelers have. Enjoy this one and take the same type of attitude to New Orleans.

Just like I said before this week when all the Steelers fans were being pessimistic I said why

not the Steelers this Sunday. The NFL season has been full of surprises.

Hats off to Jaylen Ramsey. I didn't see it coming the performance he put on yesterday when

clearly Sony Michel was the most talented runner on the field coming into the game.

Thanks Pittsburgh, I guess, for beating New England. As it stands now, the Texans havea first-round bye.

Texans are a surprise team this year. Watson staying healthy is the key for your team.

As a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Hines Ward earned two Super Bowl titles, a Super Bowl MVP trophy and made 1,000+ receptions during his 14-year career. Now, he’s mentoring a new generation of up-and-coming pro players in the Alliance of American football. Ward brought his experience and knowledge to The Alliance’s two combines in Atlanta, giving players advice, a listening ear and mentorship that helped them advance through a rigorous set of drills and exercises, all with the idea of earning roster spots at the next level.

Kinda hard after the Raiders game. Plus during the Pats game Ben throws 2 ints and Boswell continues to miss field goals. But hey got the win and now it's the Saints.

Shittsburg looked good. Helped the Texans. Never thought the Bengals had a chance.

Browns are the sleeper team. Something is wrong with the Rams.

Patriots falling apart--good.

If I had a guess I'd say Chargers/Rams Superbowl.

Yeah, I'm conflicted because if there's one team I don't want any help from, it's the Steelers.

Agreed.

The Chargers are a team without a country right now. I don't know if they can win in late January.

Steelers need to stop Ben throwing ints and get rid of Burns and maybe even Boswell.

Browns much improved, not sure if they are playoff team just yet.

Patriots are still the best team in the AFC East. They are just a playoff team, don't think they have what it takes to reach the Superbowl. I say Chargers/Saint superbowl.

Based on last year's Super Bowl, defense may not really matter in January and February. None of the D units for the AFC contenders are all that scary.

Patriots' Josh Gordon indefinitely suspended by NFL

Josh Gordon is stepping away from football to focus on his mental health.

The New England Patriots receiver announced the decision on Thursday.

"I take my mental health very seriously at this point to ensure I remain able to perform at the highest level," Gordon wrote in a statement. "I have recently felt like I could have a better grasp on things mentally. With that said, I will be stepping away from the football field for a bit to focus on my mental health. I would like to thank Coach Belichick, Mr. Kraft, as well as countless others with the Patriots organization for their continued support. I want to thank my fans for their support as well as I continue down the path to getting back to 100 percent."

Gordon has a long history of mental health and substance abuse issues.

The star receiver missed two full seasons while being suspended and participated in just 10 games between 2014 and 2018.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that Gordon is facing another indefinite suspension for violating terms of his reinstatement under the substance abuse policy, according to a source informed his status.

The league later confirmed the suspension:

"Effective today, Josh Gordon has been returned to the Reserve/Commissioner Suspended list indefinitely for violating the terms of his conditional reinstatement under the Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse."

The Patriots issued the following statement on the matter:

"We support Josh Gordon in his continued efforts to focus on his health. His attempt to do so is a private and personal matter, which we intend to respect."

It's a sad situation for the immensely talented but struggling receiver.

If Gordon is indeed banned again, it would be a long road back and could spell the end of the 27-year-old's NFL career. If he never plays another NFL down, Gordon's story will be remembered as an all-time coulda, woulda, shoulda player.

For the Patriots, they'll move forward with Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, Cordarrelle Patterson and Phillip Dorsett at receiver. With Rob Gronkowski struggling, losing Gordon's field-stretching ability is a massive blow for New England heading into January. In 11 games this season, Gordon compiled 40 catches for 720 yards with three touchdowns.

Gordon's situation will affect a playoff-bound Patriots team, but more importantly, we hope Gordon gets the help needed to one day find peace in his life, even if that future doesn't involve football.

I'm not counting out the Patriots. You have to play 60 minutes of sound football to beat them, and I don't think the Chiefs, Chargers or Steelers can do it. Do you trust Andy Reid's coaching at money time? I don't.

Time will tell. Patriots don't always play ALL 4 quarters, look at the Miami miracle. Also the Patriots have been bad on the road this year.
