Buffalo Bills' Vontae Davis retires at halftime of game

Buffalo Bills cornerback Vontae Davis came off the field at halftime Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers and never looked back.

Davis, a two-time Pro Bowl cornerback, made the jaw-dropping decision to retire at halftime instead of sticking around for the team’s 31-20 loss. Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott confirmed that Davis left.

Congratulations! Just when I thought the Steelers secondary couldn't get any worse.

Digging that 21-0 hole was pathetic. Steelers need to fix their defense this season quick.

Joe Haden needs to get back ASAP. It's still early. I know you a big Chiefs fan but it's still

something about this team that doesn't say Super Bowl contender.

I know. We can make it to the play offs, but normally that is it. One & Done.

What does everyone think about our new QB, Patrick Mahomes?

Patrick good so far. I just think KC just doesn't have that killer post season instinct meaning

mostly the defense is soft. They were definitely soft yesterday once the Steelers offense got going. JuJu ate all day against the Chiefs secondary. Getting Eric Berry back will help but he can't do it alone. Losing Marcus Peters hurts. It also seems like Andy Reid waits until the postseason to get conservative.

I'm not convinced on Bortles yet....beat the Patriots in January, then I'll be convinced.

Giants need a real offensive line. I don't care WHO the QB is, if the line can't block for him, he's finished. See what happened to Tom Brady against the Jags? Thanks to these clowns, Eli's getting hit one second after the friggin' snap! Like Shannon Sharpe said, Eli should have pulled a Vontae Davis.

Next week Giants play the Texans....yikes

Week 3 picks

Browns over the Jets (Browns do it this week)

Texans over the Giants (sorry uptowny)

Vikings over the Bills (Bills finish last in the AFC East)

Chiefs over the 49ers (Don't think Chiefs score as much points as they did last week)

Eagles over the Colts (Like the Eagles at home)

Packers over the Redskins (the team phunkdaddy hates wins)

Dolphins over the Raiders (Dolphins at 3-0, didn't see that coming)

Jaguars over the Titans (Jags own the division)

Panthers over the Bungles (phunkdaddy presence at the games cause the Bungles to collapse)

Ravens over the Broncos (rat birds win at home)

Falcons over the Saints (Saints will finish last in the NFC south)

Rams over the Chargers (LA fans still wish the Raiders moved to LA instead)

Bears over the Cardinals (Da Bears, and the Cardinals finishes last in the NFC West)

Cowboys over the Seahawks (Wilson still recovering from all those sacks from Monday night)

Patriots over the Lions (Lions will finish last in the NFC North)

Steelers over the Buccaners (This is the Florida team that loses this week)

Dolphins over the Raiders this is more a product of my skepticism of MIA than my faith in OAK.

Jaguars over the Titans

Panthers over the Bungles I think CIN may actually have their act together and CAR seems inconsistent.

Ravens over the Broncos

Falcons over the Saints the scare against CLE will breathe life into NO for this rivalry game, for now.

Rams over the Chargers this game is a statement game for the Chargers, one way or another, and if they're going to make noise this year, they need to win games like these.

Bears over the Cardinals

Cowboys over the Seahawks

Patriots over the Lions (Lions will finish last in the NFC North)

Steelers over the Buccaneers Stihluhs are becoming Team Turmoil, and the Fighting Fitzpatricks seize on the opportunity.

But the Steelers have had diva issues for a while now. AB is only the latest.

On draft day, the Giants had a chance to set themselves up at the QB position for the next 10 years. Instead, management felt they had a chance to make a big playoff run sticking with Eli, drafting Saquon Barkley and re-tooling the roster, particularly the O-line.

So far, the line gets an F-......can you imagine what the Texans defense will do to them on Sunday?

Those Vikings teams with Tarkenton, Chuck Foreman, Carl Eller, Paige, Sammy White much

respect. You got me on Joe Kapp before my time. lol

I had a lot of respect for Randall Cunningham. He did superhuman shit Cam Newton can't do.

I was never a fan of "Get Your Roll On" Culpepper but he had his 15 minutes of fame.

Talking about Ben's alleged rape charges has nothing to do with the current state of the franchise

now. There were only 2 accusations. The last one in 2009. Damn near 10 years ago. First accusation was totally irrelevant and false. 2nd accusation my word vs yours. Was he stupid for putting himself in that position? Yes. Whatever high and mighty ego Ben had then is not the same Ben now. The guy has matured on and off the field and is a family man now. Has nothing to do with Bell and Brown.

Bell wants to get paid. It's his right. I haven't seen Bell throw tantrums on the sideline.

Brown is passionate and wants to win. Despite that getting into it with your OC on the sidelines

while the team is trying to win a game is not a good look. The Steelers biggest problem with Bell and Brown is social media. Stay the hell off of it. If you have to get on Social Media leave Steelers business off of it. It's up to Mike Tomlin to nip this shit in the bud. You don't see this shit in New England.

Like Batman stated Bell and Brown isn't the reason the defense looks like shit but Tomlin wants

to put his kicker and punter on blast and not the secondary. GTFOH

Receivers were running free the whole game except much of the second quarter.

Watching the Chiefs game Sunday was like watching a repeat of the playoff game against

Jacksonville.

What is your team namepeace?

My very first team was actually the Steelers, the team that inspired me to take up the game as a kid. That's why I've followed them for the better part of 40 years.

The team I "inherited" is Washington, and they're my team because they are my dad's team.

God help me, because in my youth, it was glorious, but for much of my life, I've grown to love and loathe them equally. I can't even say their name anymore.

There's no question he is good and is going to be a NFL QB. However I think the Steelers made him look even better. Steelers lately seems to have a hard time facing new QB's they haven't met before. Lost to Dak Prescott, heck even had a hard time with Green Bays back up QB Brett Hundley.
