Can´t wait for TWD to come back again but I´ve also been enjoying FTWD a lot lately. It´s a bit slow these days and the locations are not as interesting as in the first seasons but the storyline is getting more and more interesting, especially now that Morgan is on board and wants to go back to Alexandria.

I wish I could share your enthusiasm, but FTWD has been boring me to tears biggrin They seem to be in some boring, nowhere land and I'm getting kinda tired of that lady who wants to interview everybody, lol. This show was so good last year in its third season but I don't know what happened.

Yes, I understand what you mean, hence why I called it a bit slow....and, like you, I don´t really like that muddy, gray, cold looking area they are in. The first seasons had a much more interesting scenery, really beautiful landscapes and were a welcome relief from the green, brown, swampy areas in the original TWD.

But now both shows have sucky locations.

And yes, that reporter or whatever she claims to be is boring me, too.

I guess I´m just grateful that there is some sort of a Walking Dead show at all. And I am easy to please once I am hooked to a TV show. lol

I miss the mystery of FTWD´s first seasons....with a mysterious, rich and cunning Victor Strand, and Nick...etc.

They shouldn´t have done that to Nick.

They shouldn´t just get rid of important characters like they always do on TWD. I thought this show would be a bit different in that regard.

But I still have high hopes for FTWD. We just have to get through with this rather dull phase I guess.

I don't know. I couldn't get thru the third season. It was just kind of all over the place so I lost interest in the middle of the season. For me, the fourth season has been the best so far. Much more focused and with the introduction of some new characters that I actually care about. That's been a big problem with FTWD for me. I never cared about or felt any connection to any of the characters until Season 4. Up until recently, I was just kind of hoping the zombies would eat all of them. lol

biggrin it'll be interesting to see what happens on TWD this season. With Rick leaving, they will need to come up with some truly amazing storylines to keep people watching.I heard that the Whisperers storyline will finally happen.

The new style of FTWD sucks.

They got rid of everything I liked about it in the first place. The change of geography, the interesting locations such as Downtown L.A, California, the Pacific Ocean, the beautiful Mexican landscapes, or that big and impressive dam, the bright colors...none of that is in FTWD anymore and it looks like a cheaper imitation of TWD.

And the most interesting characters are either gone for good or at least for while.

There´s only Strand and Alicia left. neutral

it will be fun! i'm still mourning Carl and the losses suffered by our guys but i'm sure they'll regroup and fight the good fight. one thing is for sure - it won't be boring biggrin

I finally watched the full seaon 8, and it was better than I thought.

It's sad seeing the Georgia crew not like they were.

Eugene is something. Always had a danger to him.

Yeah I am totally confused about they’re trying to do with this show.A lot of things don’t make no sense to me.

I still can´t believe that Abraham and Glenn are gone. I mean Glenn´s demise was to be expected because it´s in the graphic novels but still.....it´s a TV show and viewers NEED at least a few heroes they can hold on to. lol

If Rick goes, then the show will have a whole different vibe. They shouldn´t have killed Carl either.

Yeah I am totally confused about they’re trying to do with this show.A lot of things don’t make no sense to me.

To me it seems that they wanted to get rid of the original idea of the show, which was to show the time during and right after the apocalypse.

Instead, we get a time jump to the timeline of the original TWD and Morgan joining FTWD. Don´t get me wrong , I like Morgan, but I really loved FTWD the way it was....different time, different locations, different story about a family and their attempt to survive but I guess they did not want to maintain that storyline.

I heard that the two new showrunners are responsible for this. Looks like they want to mix FTWD and TWD for some reason.

I will still follow FTWD but it is no longer what it used to be.

Just when it started to get more interesting they kind of killed the show.

even though Carl has passed and Rick is leaving it looks like the show will continue.... forever. smile

[excerpted from link] In news that seems like a perfect metaphor for a zombie show, AMC has teased that it’s working on a plan to keep The Walking Dead going—in one form or another—forever. That comes from Bloomberg, which says AMC is talking with “several large media companies” about plans to keep The Walking Dead brand alive for “another 10 years.” Nothing has been set in stone yet, but AMC apparently “wants to produce several movies for a TV network or streaming service that could spin off into different series,” with one possibility being to take the series to a different country (The Walking Dead is also a big hit outside of the U.S., naturally).

I don't think they understood the impact it would have. His death started the kill off.
The family was broken. They've done things way different from the graphic novels so Glenn didn't have to die. A lot of people didn't have to. I think I would have still like Deanna to be alive. Shasha, Beth, Andrea... I miss Shane's energy and struggle.

I don't mind them keeping the concept of the Walking Dead going, ie. the post zombie world ... but the characters we've followed for years in TWD deserve some sort of happy ending, those of them left at least.

I don't see the point of investing that much time in Rick, Carol, Daryl etc if they're ultimately just going to be killed off in a tragic way. Reminds me of the mistake they made with Alien 3 where they immediately killed off Newt, Bishop and Hicks ... made you look at Aliens and think 'well that was pointless'.
