If you're a car guy, this will make your day

This is going to sound like a sad/mad story but trust me - it has a HILARIOUS ending. This happened in Dallas (of course).

A tuner shop called Advanced Modern Performance ("AMP") sent two employees to look at a Corvette a performance car dealer had for sale. While one AMP employee/prospective purchaser (the now-infamous Sergey) inspected the car on a lift, his buddy distracted the car owner and got him to walk outside.

While the owner was gone, Sergey removed the car's oil filter, cut it in half, and sprinkled some metal shavings in it. Then when the car owner came back into the shop, Sergey says, "Hey man - your engine is about to blow. Look at these metal shavings I found in the oil filter. Tell you what - we'll take this car off your hands for a cheap price, since we have to put a new motor in it".

But unbeknownst to Sergey, there was a security camera in the garage. The owner thought something was up, because the car certainly ran very well, with no indication it was spewing metal into the oil filter. So he looked at the security camera footage and saw what Sergey had done.

When confronted with the evidence of their villiany, Sergey and his boss said, "Oh, that was a joke!"

Yeah, but no. But now the good part!

AMP quickly deleted their Facebook page, but someone created a parody. And if you are into cars and know a little bit about car culture, then prepare to laugh your head off for the next few minutes!

Yeah, at least those crooks were trying to scam a dealer and not a consumer. Doesn't make it much better, though.

What DOES make it better is that fake Facebook account. Whoever did that is a GENIUS!

I checked out the fake FB page but even though it´s fake it says a lot about AMP because there are some comments by disappointed (and skeptical) ex-customers.

.

What a nasty bunch of liars.

So what do you think is going to happen to the AMP guys?

I'm guessing they are looking for new jobs. Or hoping to hunker down long enough for people to forget they tried to screw that guy out of his Corvette. But the internet is written in ink.

The Internet is written in ink? No wonder why my eraser wasn't working.
