McDonald’s Big Mac vs Burger King’s Whopper

Whenever I bite into a Burger King Whopper™, it is not only the texture that entices me. It is not just the feeling of the juicy tomatoes. It is more than that. It is the deeper meaning behind it. The very instant I walked into the store, I knew that the meticulous cooks would strive for nothing less than perfection. The Whopper™ represents what our rich and awe-inspiring past has led up to. Those who are truly high brows dare not stop short of appreciating its class.

On the other hand, I cringe at the mere thought of consuming filth as grotesque as the McDonald's Big Mac™. It may contain all the necessary material characteristics for it to be considered a sandwich, but it lacks the thought and incorporeal human aspect of it for it to be considered a sandwich. Its cooks are the exact antithesis of scrupulousness. It is unequivocally abysmal from the perspective of one who truly appreciates punctiliousness. There is no question—if you value quality, give no consideration to such deplorable, mass produced rubbish. Otherwise, you are a measly simpleton that is not capable of any form of intellectual thought.

biggrin Just a couple days ago i was debating the same thing, so its kinda funny that someone started a thread about fast food. Anyway, I'm not sure if you're serious or not but here's my two cents...

So, i hardly ever eat fast food(maybe once a month) but a few days ago i didn't have anything handy and fast to cook, so i went to McDonald's(about a 1/2 block from where i live). I was debating on going to Burger King instead, but decided on McDonald's(because of proximity). I ordered the 2 Big Mac's for 5 dollars deal, and that shit was gross. The patties were small as heck, the cheese looked like it was created in a science lab, and the bread tasted like cardboard(I've noticed that before with McDonald's buns). The only thing that was half way decent was the sauce. I also ordered fries and they weren't that much better. The other things that pissed me off were that i felt sick after eating that garbage, and a couple hours later i felt hungry. I saved the 2nd Big Mac for the next day's lunch and after having eaten it, told my myself never again...

Anyway, there's a Burger King about 3 blocks from where i live and i would occasionally go there. I would either order a chicken sandwich or a Whopper. Whoppers are OK(when they are eaten right after cooked). They are much much better than just about any burger at McDonald's (imo).

In closing. A lot of food from McDonald's, Burger King, Jack In The Box, Wendy's etc, is unhealthy bland garbage. I do kinda like Carls Jr though, but im pretty sure their food is just as unhealthy(but more tasty) as the rest of them. And its more expensive.

Big Macs are much better. Funny how you guys call a burger a sandwich. To us a sandwich is something between two slices of sliced bread. A burger is any heated filling between a sliced large hamburger bun (Although some of the chains have muffin sized buns - some Burger King burgers are just 8.5cm in diameter). Burgers made by a take away are on standard 12cm buns.

.

I think it varies from outlet to outlet, some Mc Donalds have excellent and tasty burgers, others are badly arranged and poorly stuffed or overcooked. Depends on the outlet, most are franchised here and some are well run, others are chaotic.

.

Not sure about the USA, but here in NZ all our Burger outlets are in low income suburbs, living in a middle/upper class area, I have to drive into the hood to get my Burger fix.

I got plenty good loving for ya baby

Yuup and here in Australia, Burger King is known as Hungry Jacks, and I prefer Whoppers over Big Mac's. However, IMO the best McDonalds burger I ever had was the El Maco (because it had sour cream in it) with the Shaker Fries, which I wish they would bring back beg now I am feeling hungry lol foodnow

I used to prefer Whoppers over big Macs. So much has changed in fast food there 10 years I'm not liking the taste of a lot of my past favorites. I prefer JntB over both BK or McD's.

It's crazy to me that people still eat this. I'm not a vegan or a social justice warrior but I refuse to even call this food.

I was done years ago after reading Fast Food Nation in which I learned; there's an acceptable amount of feces in every burger. The low grade meat is also mixed with wood pulp (cellulose) to get more out of the meat.

I could never understand why a can of dogfood was more expensive that fast food...

I know them french fries have a plan
I know them french fries have a plan
The cheeseburger and the shakes formed a band
To overthrow the french fries plan
I always knew them french fries was evil man
Smelling all good and shit
I don't trust no food that smells that good man

I knew the Diet Coke was jealous of the fries
I knew the McNuggets was jealous of the fries
Even the McRib was jealous of the fries
I could see it through his artificial meat eyes
And he only be there some of the time
Everybody was jealous of them french fries
Except for that one special guy

Who was complaining? I just said I wasn't being one.

What you put into your body matters more than most understand.

People think they know everything when they're young, so enjoy the feces wood food.

They are both disgusting! I haven't eaten at either in over 25 years. I love a good burger, but these fast food places don't know the meaning of that. A mom and pop place is the best or homemade of course. Wendy's is disgusting too.

You think your veggies are grown in a bubble, chum? Well, they aren't. There are feces all over those, too. And you'd better never let anyone test the screen of your smartphone - because there's more fecal bacteria there than on the toilet seat in a public restroom.

We are surrounded by poop. If you think your food is totally clean just because you don't eat meat, you're out of your damn mind.

I can wash my veggies, good luck washinging your wood meat.

Who even said I didn't eat meat? lol

Defend fast food if you need to but it's garbage, I'm not the first person to talk about it.

Yep. Your comment got me thinking about an experience i had at a McDonald's in Fresno CA. I was in the restroom taking a leak when an employee came out the toilet stall and walked out the restroom without washing his hands. So, i walk out the bathroom and precede to the counter to pick up my order(had placed the order before i went into the bathroom). I then mention to the counter person that her coworker had just exited the restroom without washing his hands, and her response kinda surprised me. She seemed to get somewhat defensive and basically said that her coworker would wash his hands in the sink in the back...So me, I'm thinking WTF? I didn't like her meh attitude about the whole thing and since I'm kinda crazy, was getting ready to start telling the other customers that some of the workers don't wash their hands in the restroom(like the signs say they must always do), after taking a crap or piss. I ended up leaving without doing it though.

Anyway, yeah, in part because of nasty mfers like the guy i mentioned, shit is everywhere...

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.

bIg Mac is WAY better than whoppers....Burger King has fallen off badly...onions are too strong, tomatoes and pickles are never fresh and the buns are dry and damn near stale....a fresh Big Mac is STILL the go to burger...even a QP w/Cheese kills whoppers...even Wendys 1/4 classic is better than a whooper...whoppers not even charbroiled anymore...they literally paint the grill marks on the burgers

i try to avoid both, and eat neither often. BUt I agree with this... I can't even STEP into a Burger King anymore. I might tolerate their fries (which were good) but they fell off the deep end into cafeteria with prison inmates "cookin" garbage. I'd be afraid of getting ill or biting into bone....

I tend to just leave the animals alone.

plastic Big Mac (which has prob shrunken over the years) wins. 4 me

Yep, In N' Out has some pretty good food. Also, if i remember correctly, Hot N' Now had(haven't eaten there in years) some decent burgers. So Does Rally's/Checkers.

Still though, besides In N' Out, Carls Jr has the best burgers out of the places mentioned. CJ's Teriyaki burger is the bomb, and their Double Western Bacon Burger, Big Carl, Six Dollar Thick burger and Guacamole Thick Burgers are good as well.

And again. IMO, the only thing good about Big Mac's is the sauce. The patties are so small and thin that all a person really tastes is the sauce and the buns. If the patties were bigger, then it would be a decent burger. I guess it's all just a matter of personal taste, and the freshness of the product.

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.
