Both serve highly-processed genetically-modified foods to the public. Not to mention countless additives. Neither deserve your attention, much less your money. If you must eat junk food like this, make it at home. Diabetes and obesity at epidemic proportions.

Whatever would we do without obligatory posts by sanctimonious killjoys?

Dunno. Probably have medical complications or sterility kill your joy instead, from a lifetime of GMO, additive-laden expensive junk food from our friends at Bayer/ Monsanto and.others.

No love for Tim Horton's? I'm sure there are Canadian orgers and orgers in Buffalo, Detroit, and outside of Seattle that love those donuts.

I suppose I prefer Dunkin Donuts to Krispy Kreme overall, but those Krispy Kreme donuts right out of the oven just melt in your mouth. drool Even so, there's a local bakery in my hometown that makes awesome donuts, and I suppose in most cities there are local bakeries that make donuts that beat the crap out of both Dunkin and Krispy Kreme.

Krispy Kreme right out of the oven!!! Yes they melt in your mouth. Thank God there is not one near me. Like Lays potato chips---you cannot have just one!

eek

There is ONE Tim Horton's on Long Island (I believe) and it's actually attached to a gasoline station.

They're better than Dunkin Donuts IMO.

If I can't go to House of Donuts (as I posted earlier) then Tim Horton's is my 2nd choice.

Dunkin Donuts is simply more convenient since they are EVERYWHERE.

I barely remember the last time I had a Krispy Kreme donut but what I do remember is that I did not really sit down and have a coffee with my donut . I think it was one of those tiny little Krispy Kreme places that you find at some train stations. And the thing with donuts is that I need to sit down and eat them accompanied by a good cup of coffee.

So, as far as atmosphere and variety goes, I prefer Dunkin because I also like their coffee and some of their sandwiches, and their donuts are ok, too.

The best donuts I´ve ever had were the ones that the US Army used to sell at a German fair in the 1970s and 1980s.

They were delicious !

I remember when Krispy Kreme first came to Los Angeles, in 1999. I was working at a children's home and the day counselor was late because she wanted to surprise everyone with Krispy Kreme's. Problem was she got there at 6:00 AM and didn't get waited until almost 8:30 AM. She was waiting in line that long to get those donuts. And if it took them that long to get to her, I can't even imagine what time other people got there that morning. eek

Yes! Was it the one in La Mirada or somewhere over that way? I remember waiting soooo long the first time we went - and we got piping hot doughnuts and I felt them congealing in my stomach like hot dough! lol

Actually, it was in the Valley, Sherman Oaks, on Van Nuys Blvd. I couldn't believe any one would wait in line that long for donuts. But they stayed busy for several months after they opened like that, especially on Saturday or Sunday mornings. I might stand in line that long for a concert I really want to see, but no way would I stand in line that long for donuts! lol
