and for me, if wonder woman could please ditch the super hero bikini and dress in clothing an actual warrior would wear. because as long as wonder woman is wearing a bikini/bustier with dangerously exposed chestal body parts she ain't really right for the role and still represents a male stereotype rather than a female warrior goddess. aside from that all's well and i look forward to the release. lol

Nah, I'd hate if they covered her up. She's Wonder Woman. She comes from a place where there are no men and warriors dress the way she dresses. Why should she have to conform to another civilisation's view of what is acceptable attire to battle in. Besides, how can anyone look at Gal Gadot in full Wonder Woman costume and not see a goddess. Because that's what I see when I look at her. I certainly don't see a stereotype.

hmm. lol well for me if i were engaging in hand-to-hand combat utilizing swords and arrows an spears i'd want a breast plate that covers my entire chest like guys wear when engaging in similar hand-to-hand combat. and sleeves and leggings? well yes please, preferably leather or kevlar. and those hot pants shorty-shorts? ditch those. they leave too much exposed skin for cuts, nicks and bites. and sunburn??? my goodness, think of it. to each her own i expect. lol lol lol

I wonder if she can even get sunburnt? Like, I'm sure Superman couldn't and Wonder Woman is often portrayed to be as invulnerable as he is. I don't think the DCEU version is bullet proof though. I once read a novel where she got shot and it just left welts on her skin. THAT version probably wouldn't be burned by the sun. The movie version is different though. I'm not familiar with the comics though and I can't remember whether she was bullet proof in the cartoon. Hmm.... OK. If she can't get burned, she keeps the skimpy outfit because she has no need to cover up. If not, by all means give her a poncho or something.

Wonder Woman is almost as strong as Superman. And like Superman, her skin is most likely more durable than any fabric/armor worn to protect it. Exposed skin does not make her vulnerable.

I just watched the Justice League movie.

Wonder Woman and Superman were, by far, the highlights of that film.

They should stick to the format of the first Wonder Woman film and take a note from Marvel and stop making the movies so cartoonish.

well...she comes from the imagination of a known fetishist whose design intent was to show near naked women in bondage situations...which is cool with me. but we shouldn't pretend that wonder woman's character design is based on any sort of historical accuracy.

There is a stereotype, having all the male superheroes all full suits and, as a woman, she is the only one wearing a bikini. I can imagine if you are a fighter, you wanna protect your body

That's her outfit though. If she was dressed differently she wouldn't be recognisable as Wonder Woman. Besides, as kpowers has pointed out, there are plenty of scantily clad male superheroes. Not to mention that in the movies there are always scenes included which show female characters fawning over the shirtless male heroes. All of the Thor movies, Infinity War, Captain America, Man of Steel, Justice League. Any movie with a muscular male hero will feature a scene where he's shirtless. It's like some sort of rule. Even Wonder Woman had a scene where the male lead was nude.

All excellent points. Also on TV as well. Season 1 of Arrow, Oliver Queen takes off his shirt in EVERY EPISODE. Also what I notice with the WB/CW is that they tend to hire good looking men for the super hero role but they don't hire good looking females. At best the females are just cute. There have been about 6 different actresses to play the "black canary" role (Arrow, Smallville, Birds of Prey) not one was a drop dead gorgeous blonde like in the comics. At least JLU gets it right.

I've never known Wonder Woman to wear a bikini. At least not as part of her official costume anyway.
