real question is why would anyone act in one of his films??? i mean with books and movies, there is a certain amount of shame involved when you create something nauseating or just plain stupid and gross. why would any actor or actress even want to be involved in that?

I've seen A- and F reviews for this. lol Anyway, some of the scenes mentioned probably mean I don't have to see it.

Hey loudmouth, shut the fuck up, right?

Got an American Psycho vibe from the trailer, which immediately makes me want to see it ... hoping its more like that film and not just another yawn-fest torture porn film.

Love the use of Bowie's Fame in the trailer to.

Lars Von Trier is pretty top of the drawer in making movies. His films never resemble the generic Hollywoodish würst that has been served for the last 20 years.

But that doesn't mean that all his films are great, of course. Actually i had a very hard time going through the whole Nymphomaniac experience, it took days since i literally fell asleep after each 15 minutes of watching.

I have indeed ... its not pretty! lol I've seen most of that sort of stuff, Irreversible, Baise Moi, Men Behind the Sun, Tetsuo, etc. Gotta be in the mood for them obviously, and some of them have left me with a bad vibe. But I'm pretty open minded with cinema, providing its not done just to be shocking ... the film still has to be a decent film.

The only verb that suits that film is endured.

I haven’t seen any of his films since The Idiots. I still think the title was a not-so-subtle reference to the audience, who had paid to see that...
