And many cite Black Panther as one of the big factors for those sales. That wasn't by accident. Granted, the Russo Brothers worked with Coogler on setting a vision for Wakanda, knowing it would be a main stage for A:IW.

Even as Forbes pointed out, they've been promoting A:IW almost as a sequel to BP. The fact that BP is the biggest standalone superhero movie of all time is undoubtedly a factor in A:IW and A4's pre-sale success.

Don't care what Forbes says, Avenger's don't need help. For now Black Panther is the number one super hero movie but this is a Star Wars thread so at this point beatdeadhorse

Not to diss BP, I love all the Marvel movies, even Iron Man 3, but Infinity War would make bank even if Black Panther never got a movie. Just sayin'...

Not dead, not in prison, still funkin'...

Again, nobody said Avengers needed the help. But Black Panther was like the Golden State Warriors landing KD. They didn't need him, but they sure were going to capitalize on having him.

I agree, the public that never went to Marvel movies but did go to see Black Panther (which were the majority of the people I know who went to see Black Panther) surely boosted the sales for the new Avengers movie because they will go see Avengers to see more of Black Panther/Wakanda.

Logically speaking you're correct...I mean, the Franchise is a Juggernaut...The bottom-line is none of us knew Black Panther was gonna be a Cultural awakening, a Happening, a must-see event in the Black Community...All we ever talk about is Cops shooting Black folks...FINALLY something a little positive, a much needed distraction...yeah it's a movie, but it was right on time...

I remember going to the theater to catch the 10am showing, STILL not grasping the fact that a "movement' had begun....All the Matinee shows were sold-out..."Come back after 5pm and buy your ticket NOW"....That AMC theater was PACKED at 10am and just about everybody had advanced-tickets except me...LOL...

What made up for that day was the Moviegoers dressed in Beautiful African dresses/Gowns and the Men looking so Smooth in their African attire..(I had on jeans, NOT ready for them at all)...They were taking pictures at freaking 10am that morning....I've seen moviegoers in Star Wars costumes, Avenger Costumes, Harry Potter Capes, but that particular morning was something to see becuz they looked like they were going to a Ball/Gala...

I'll never forget my Black Panther experience and I'm glad Donald decided not to ruin it with the Garbage he spews...He Shits on ANYTHING that out-shines him....(I should not have mentioned him but whatever)...

Ha! I had a Solo dream last night. It was kind of like other Star Wars dreams I have had... where they decide to show it on TV and in theaters and I was out someplace and could not see the screen and then I went home and the DVR cut off after about 30 mins.... but it was about an OLDER Han Solo (Played by the same guy but voiced by Harrison Ford) telling how he won the Falcon... (I have had dreams of the new Star Wars being on TV the same day it was released before and I can not watch all of it and nothing much happens...in fact this may be the second SOLO one like this?)

anyway 36 days!~

OH and the latest rumor is tickets will go on sale Friday, May 4th! 20 days before it comes out...not bad.

I had a dream I was eating at Denny's everyday and collecting a complete set. And the new figurines were marked down to $5 at Walmart (hint..hint).

It's because you are in Ireland. It's also regional food chain as well. I live in Hawaii, we have Denny's but we don't have "Village Inn" "Perkins" or "Howard Johnstons".

You're not missing anything. It's pre-packaged frozen "food" that is warmed up and send to your table.

I have a friend who used to work there as a "cook". He's the one who told me it was all prepackaged frozen food that he simply warmed up. It's not really "bad" it's brown and hot and they have assorted beverages to choose from.

I don't see how they do that with breakfast. I sit at the counter and watch them cook eggs and bacon. Doesn't seem to be prepackaged. Unless they are playing tricks with the mind. Big markdown with Solo figurines at WalMart $5. These were originally marked $20.

Prince trusted iHop and Axl Rose he trusts Arby's. People were trying to figure out where Axl was staying at etc last time GNR was in town and he ended up pulling into Arby's and ordering the roast beef sandwich. Strange enough, I've heard this is liquid meat. Skywalker foods.

I really think Dr. Strange movie is underated. Really enjoyed the movie and the casting was great (better than Cumberbatch as Khan) Iron Man 2 was so bad didn't want to watch part 3. If you haven't seen it watch before you see the Avengers.

Like Starbucks, Denny's product is pure shit.

In the past, some of their franchises had issues with serving black customers.

I got my tickets to the first showing... well there was a "special' event for $20 with some 'free' stuff but I am just seeing it in the regular 2d normal screen...

The Premiere was Last Night? (I think?) and it will show at some point at the Cannes Film Festival...and from what I read it is getting good reviews (but they are limited for a few more days).

Also of note: new rumors that the next movie (after IX) will be Obi-Wan... and to add to that speculation none other than Ewan McGregor!

The early word is the movie is very good. Granted that this is from people that saw the premiere (it will be shown again next week) so there is some bias... but I am thinking this is good news.

also in the works is a live action show that takes place 7 years after ROTJ...
