Hulu Vs Netflix

I'm thinking of joining one of these.Which is the better of the 2? as far as more variety of shows and movies.

Depends on what you're interested in. I'd personally go for Netflix because of the Marvel shows.

I'd say Netflix. Their original series and content are all pretty great.

Hulu, while it has movies and some original content, seems more television oriented. Netflix is more diverse between its original series, movie base, documentaries, music specials, and (lately) comedy specials. They even moved Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee from Crackle (own by Sony) to Netflix with new episodes coming.


You can still try a trial of Hulu, too, if you wish.

As a secondary service, go for Amazon Prime (you can get just the video service for about the same price as Netflix or Hulu). Amazon has been nailing some of the newest movies first, too. Their original series are really great. One Mississippi, Mozart in the Jungle, Sneaky Pete, Red Oaks, Bosch, Electric Dreams, Catastrophe, The Man In The High Castle, Transparent, The Tick, Mad Dogs one season - more like a long mini-series). And their original movies...all great stuff.

Marvel:

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, The Punisher, plus some of the movies.

TV is so diversified now, I say check out everything, but Netflix & Prime are the highest quality of stuff you're going to find, in my opinion.

Yeah, Trivial pretty much summed it up there. Daredevil, Jessica Jones etc are a cut above the superhero TV shows you get on regular television. Not only that but I forgot that Netflix now has Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee so what more could you want.

I'd also agree that Amazon Prime would be a good "second choice". Their original programming is really strong and only getting better.


Basically, what I'm saying is that Trivial hit the nail on the head. Which renders this post pointless but nevertheless, I still went ahead and posted it. Because I'm mad like that biggrin
