What is/are everyone’s favourite event(s) to watch at the Winter Olympics?
.
My favourite events to watch are figure skating and ice dancing. I watched some of the men’s short program figure skating tonight and while I love watching figure skating, the male figure skaters had numerous falls or underrotated jumps which was a bit disappointing. But hey, who am I to criticize, because I can’t figure skate to save my life.

I think most people watch the Winter Olympics for figure skating, but if it weren't for ESPN creating the X Games 25 years ago, no one would be interested in watching moguls skiing, aerials, snowboarding, the half-pipe, etc. It's the X-Games elements that got more people interested in the Winter Olympics in the first place.

Only watched long enough to see Chen fall, then I changed the channel.

I couldn't even watch Chen I was that nervous.

Love it! I enjoy watching the Olympics, and my wife REALLY loves them.

I wonder if anyone will skate to a Prince song like Jason Brown did in 2014 at Sochi? That was so cool!

I can't stand the Olympics, but love the Winter Olympics even though I don't have a country there to support. Being in South Korea, the events are all on at bad times for me and the BBC coverage is hopelessly parochial and annoying, but still. Like all of the events, except those that take place on skates.

Lvoed the Men's Giant Slalom! It was so cool watching everyone try to catch Henrik Kristofferson's epic run and no one but the mighty Marcel Hirscher could do it. Awesome!

I'm only watching the figure skating because: (A) my wife makes me; and (B) it's impossible to get too much Tara Lipinski.

Fun story: In February 1998 Tara Lipinski won the gold medal, and turned 16 that summer. Her father had bought and restored a 1971 'Cuda convertible for her years earlier, planning to give it to her as her first car. It was similar to this '71 'Cuda convertible:

When Tara turned 16, she had a lot of money of her own and said, "Dad, that old car is cool but what I really want is a new Corvette, so I'm going to buy one". Dad put the car up for sale.

I was the second guy that called on it. Unfortunately, the first guy who called had already brought the money to Dad Lipinski. Dang it!

I enjoyed watching the women's giant slalom. Lindsey Vonn did very well!

.

I'm a couple of days late with this, but Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir were amazing. Their free dance was absolutely flawless, and they definitely earned the gold medal in that event. As an American, I was happy to see the Shibutani siblings earn bronze in the free dance.
