You know that feeling where you think someone is cool but then you find out they've got Hot Tub Time Machine on DVD? That's what I'm feeling right now. smile

I stopped buying DVDs. While I might love things like True Blood, etc., I can't imagine having a copy to go back to over and over and over again, not enough to spend big bucks on sets of DVDs. Even really good movies - meh, do I need a copy when I have Netflix and HBOGO etc? It's cheaper to rent online to watch it once, than spend $20 on a DVD. Just me. I will say I do buy the Star Wars movies, and Family Guy. That's kinda it. Aside from The Force Awakens, I think the last bluray I bought was a fireplace bluray. LOL

But - to each their own. It actually seems like you could use one more shelf to sorta sort things out a bit and give yourself some room.

Yeah I really do need another shelf.problem is I have such a small room and I don't have enough space in my room for another shelf like the 2 I have now.i could get a smaller shelf but I'm gonna keep buying DVDs,so eventually I'll need a bigger shelf anyways.

I buy TV shows by the season for 1 dollar on dvd regularly. They generally have to be about 5 years old or older. I also regular buy movies for 1 to 3 dollars on the regular. No need to spend much. If I wanted to I could buy the first 9 seasons of the family guy box set for 1 dollar on DVD. (I only already own them.) I just buy them used.

It's not just about the money, it's about possessions. I don't need to have the DVD sets just to feel like I've gotten the most from the show, or to show I'm a fan or collector. I would venture to say 80% of people who own a lot of TV etc on DVD don't ever really go back to them to watch them over and over. It's about the memory, not the possession, really. It's why some folks like Graffiti Bridge, and some don't. Is it a good album, or does it just have a good memory attached to it?

What you could do it get some good plywood. Cut shelves the size of the ones you have. Get dower rods the same circumference as the holes that hold the shelf braces now. Put in more shelves. They won't sag, and can you space them just the right height, instead of doing a double layer stacked on top of each other. Also, build up, instead of out.

She's definitely the best looking Lois Lane. That show had the best looking versions of all the main cast.

I know there's an argument that can be made for Margot Kidder's portrayal but I think Teri Hatcher was the best.

I also see you have quite the wrestling collection. I used to watch wrestling all the time when I was younger. I mostly just liked watching Bret Hart to be honest. I still throw my eye to it every now and then, especially for the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania.

Oh yeah.i love WWE.the Royal rumble is in 2 weeks and the special 25 year RAW anniversary is the Monday after this Monday. You might want to watch that cuz they are gonna have a lot of legends from the 90's on there and Bret Hart is suppose to be appearing along with Kevin nash, stone cold, undertaker,Shawn Michael's,Scott hall,Ric flair and a bunch of others. I have about 200 WWE DVDs and those white sleeved DVDs you see on my shelf in the first pic are ALL WWE episodes of RAW,Smackdown, and WCW nitro.i think I have every WWE RAW episode from 1996-2007.Here is a list of wrestling legends scheduled to appear.Im sure there will be many surprises though.

Bret Hart is a great wrestler.I liked him best as a heel.My favorite wrestler is Goldberg who just happens to be the wrestler who accidentally ended Bret Hart's career

I rewatch them in rotation when it comes to TV shows. Movies when I feel like it. Some TV shows I see yearly (Not as much-now that I have so many.).

Use to be quite proud of my dvd collection ... I'm one of those people that believe your colleciton of "art" (books, music, films) is a reflection of you as a person, and my movie collection was getting quite extensive.

It got to the point though where I had so many dvds that I'd watch once which then went on the shelf never to be watched again. Not that they were bad films ... just a case of life being too short, and with new films coming out all the time there's no way I could keep up.

I still believe in the physical over the digital, but I'm not very selective in what films I buy, limiting myself to just my favourites which I know I'll watch again a few times. For everything else its cinema, Netflix, Now TV, etc. I'm saving time, money and space on my shelves smile

Any movie that has the line "It must be some kind of........hot tub time machine" is worthy of any filmophile's DVD collection.

Wild At Heart is actually pretty good. Don't think of it as a Nicholas Cage movie. Think of it as more of a David Lynch movie, if that helps.
