No, but I saw that one, that was cute, weird but cute. I used the writer's name because I couldn't remember the name of the movie right then. It was AntiChrist, non-religious but as twisted as the name suggest.

The Big Short. shocking on a number of levels, one being the depth of corruption and lack of oversight on wall street, another being the greed and cold-heartedness of the guys who took advantage of the situation, making it worse just because they could

The force awakens.

It was pretty bad. I expected something good. ALSO *BOTH "BABE" films: BABE and BABE: PIG IN THE CITY.....absolutely AMAZED by those films. I only saw BABE cause I'd bought it as a gag gift for an old co-worker who addressed people ALL THE FUCKING TIME as "Hey Beb." (Babe)...got her some dark chocolate and BABE on DVD.....

It was $4 at TARGET so i bought two. Figured I'd get a little drunk and laugh at how bad it MUST be. (*arrogance)...was roused, humored, hearted, stirred and stunned by what a great film it was.

I waited to watch the sequel with this gal i was dating (doesn't seem like that's working out) despite having bought it on blu-ray and dvd....i think these two films rank with GODFATHER 1&2, STAR WARS & EMPIRE, BATMAN & BATMAN RETURNS,

...to have gone even DARKER and have me full of tension and concern amidst all the horrible danger, i am still in awe. *Thank the pig.

in a few movies i've watched recently, & i don't want to say which ones because it would give away farily important plot details to both, i think, very young children were murdered, fairly brutally in both cases. it always shocks me when a film crosses that line, and rightfully so i'd say - it's certainly not something i or anyone else needs to see on a routine basis.

that said, i think it worked really well in both cases if that doesn't sound too perverse a thing to say. neither of the films were trashy or exploitative, so it was genuine but very effective shock when both of those movies went there.

I'd say that in spots, Three Billboards was jarring.

Martyrs was shocking.

We saw Lars in church of all places. We were doing a seminar on films and spirituality. Lars is a great film. Really touching. Once again shows how out of touch Rodeo is.

Another one is For A Lost Sodier, especially the sex scene and kiss between the boy and the man.

people (especially the young) have no concept of subliminal messagin...

i went through marine corps trainin and afterwards was explained

in detail how we were made to think and react as we do in bootcamps.

we eem had a captivity drill in prep for bivwhack and night manuvers....

eem if you only get took in a bit (that you notice) you have been prept...

i run with folks that can shake yo hand and change yo life and eem

watchin them you don't know exactly the point that they hit they mark...

i don't watch what i know to be hypnotic...

it kinda cues a litany that goes through my mind to prevent such shit...

i don't like the litany or havin to use it but it works for me...

i'll read that scene and see how it went (as if i didn't know)...

Not shocking..but it angered me at first. I was very upset and angry feeling like i just watched endless and meaningless madness..but that was its intention

Then days later i said okay they were genius in how they made me FEEL after the fact, now that I understood what was going on.

Get Out was pretty tame by recent standards in horror/thriller films ... still a fantastic movie though and one of my ten best movies of 2017.

Sadly(??) I haven't been "shocked" by a film in years. Probably a large amount desensitisation has gone on. I remember feeling oddly depressed after watching Irreversible but not shocked, mostly because I knew roughly what I was going to experience in watching it.

The last film to actually shock me was the British made nuclear war drama Threads which I saw when I was 15. Genuine sleepless nights after that one. Definitely don't watch it if you're already depressed!

Scared and shocked are two different things. A lot of movies put me on edge, suspenseful, scary, etc.

I've been so traumatized by movies my whole life that it's really hard to "shock" me.

Human Centipede was the last movie that shocked me to the point where I had to turn it off. Even then, I was more grossed out then actually "shocked".

I'm going to be lame and say all of the documentaries I've watched. I've been literally shocked by how much I didn't know about the following;

1) The food industry

2) How much sugar/salt I was consuming
3) What a bunch of douche bags the guys in the band Chicago are
3) How many cool creatures live in the ocean
4) Various historical events

5) What a cool guy Tom Petty was and how talented Jeff Lynn is.
6) How Gilbert Gottfried is such a shy human being
