My head is about to explode, but here comes an explanation.

I don't know where else this was posted other than that disaster of a Twitter account you linked. Let's not even pretend that's official.

Obviously, Prince did run the charities in the late 90s and possibly into the early aughts. That was probably an ad from Love4OneAnother.com or whatever. Perhaps someone just reposted it as a piece of Princestory, reminding people that Prince taught to give, and help those around you.

Not sure where the "scam" idea comes into play. Even if someone did send money to Paisley Park, they'd either keep it for L4OA if it still exists or send it back unused.
