we need a good Lex Luthor though. Did you like the one in the Superman vs Batman?

Capt Cold Bizarro Cheetah the Riddler the Scarecrow Black Manta might be good

That would be a big no

LOL he was too much, and there was too much religious Christ Devil comparison

I liked the Lex Luther of the original Superman movie I & II

Gene Hackman will never be bettered as Lex Luthor. Although, and I know it's not a popular thing to say anymore, I really liked Kevin Spacey's Lex Luthor in Superman Returns. Fair enough, the movie was set up as a sequel to Superman II so he was essentially playing the Gene Hackman version but he did it really well. I also really liked John Shea in the 90s Lois and Clark TV series.

Larry David as *Mr Mxyzptlk!??!! **[finally looked it up]?

NICE!

CGI superimposed on a body? Or just motion capture rendering?

If only they'd be so bold. I like that idea.

Him or Gilbert Gottfried.

It'd be ONE HELL OF A WAY TO END THE FRANCHISE! wink

*(actually i think it'd be critically praised as bold, if they got some good writers in it)

Gilbert Gottfried has already played that character. I think it's Larry David's turn now. Besides, he could convince Jerry Seinfeld to appear as Lex Luthor's father.

Just saw this piece of shit movie and sadly this was like one of those empty Marvel movies...
Superman was a big empty vessel and the other characters were just wasted to shit... His return was lame as fuck and after that it was like watching a zombie "Superman" with no character pretending to be Superman...
After the other 3 movies (not counting "Suicide Squad") this looked condensed and small or even tiny...
This was like "Suicide Squad" level of lame...
There were shitty jokes that fell flat, like in Marvel movies, and 0 threat or seriousness, also like in Marvel movies...

The world they were saving was empty and it looked like they were the only beings on the planet, 0 stakes...
I hope Zack Snyder gets a chance to do his version of the movie (a proper Director's Cut) with at least an hour of extra footage to flesh out this condensed mess...
The only cool thing was seeing Zeus and some Lanterns fighting the parademons in the flashback (without any explanation whatsoever) and just those scenes show this movie had a much bigger scope than what is released in theatres...
This shit was disappointing to the point I hope Cavill, Affleck, Gadot, Momoa, Cyborg guy and Flash guy just call their quits if this WB mandated and typical badly written Whedon garbage is the future of DC on film...
A sad fucking disgrace to all the awesome shit DC has put on paper... Again like Marvel movies...

DC now only have the animated movies to look forward to... Just fucking sad...
At least the trailers for "The Punisher" series look great, so hopefully that will finally be something great from Marvel instead of their usual "Transformers" level garbage movies/series...

I know most people on here haven't seen it yet so I'll keep my review brief and spoiler free until more of you have had the chance to check it out but in my opinion, for what it's worth, I think it's the best super hero movie of the year. Even better than Wonder Woman. Ben Affleck continues to impress as Batman, Gal Gadot IS Wonder Woman and Henry Cavill gives me my favourite Superman performance from him yet. The three new guys, Cyborg, The Flash and Aquaman are better than I expected. The Flash has some funny scenes I suspect others will enjoy more than I did and Aquaman is fantastic, even though he looks like Roman Reigns (although, that's not really a bad thing). The only letdown for me is the villain. DC has so many great villains and I've yet to be impressed by any of them so far in the DCEU. Maybe next time? Overall though, I really enjoyed it and look forward to seeing where they go from here.

I was just reminded of that on Sunday Night when I youtubed the pronounciation.... Pretty sure I watched a few of those Superman cartoons... but they really really paled compared with BATMAN: TAS.

Yeah, but i think the Batman series is probably the best animated television series of all time so it's only natural that Superman would fail to measure up. Which begs the question, why don't DC and Warner hire the writers of the Batman animated series to write future movies in the DCEU?

Think its a big mistake to not put superman in the trailers and posters. You have the most classic superhero and you dont put it in any commercial. Building it up with 2 movies.I know the reason, but the reason is not strong enough to not do this.

New 52, so it's probably "Injustice League"... I guess we'll see when "Black Adam" arrives (next year?)

So am I, but this DC movie mess isn't... It seems they're basing their "universe" on New 52/Arkham series...

That doesn't mean anything. Aquaman's style in the JL film was 1990's version, which is definitely before the the DCU's New 52 era.

Like I said I don't know, we'll see with "Black Adam"...
I heard Snyder's initial plan was to mix New 52 with the Arkham series Batman plus cherry pick whatever he thought would look "cool"...
As for it being "Legion of Doom" or "Injustice League", the steady decline in the writing of the DC movies point to keeping everything simple, so what's simpler then just going for "Injustice League"?
The box office for this movie is atrocious, so this will die a slow death and nobody will care either way...
There are even delusional fanboys out there who started a petition for a release of Zack Snyder's version, as if WB is stupid enough to pump more money in this...

I truly hope for his version to come out eventually, but I'm not delusional in thinking WB will listen...
Maybe in 30 years they'll do a Snyder cut just for the fuck of it, like that Donner cut of "Superman II", what happened then with that movie is like what happened here...

Neversin.

Saw it today, wasn’t impressed. Stuck around until after the credits, though - cheers for the tip

Well everyone has got different opinions on what they think is good but at least you watched it before deciding whether you liked it or not. Which is more than can be said for a lot of other people.

I liked the first post credit scene because it was just a bit of fun. A nice little scene with nothing at stake, no invading aliens or superheroes being miserable.
The second scene would have appealed to me more if there was another actor playing Lex Luthor. I think it did a good job of setting up the inevitable sequel but at the same time, if you're one of those people who leave before the credits, you won't be missing anything too important.

The Flash stole the movie, he is going to be fun.

Why do they have the Amazons still using bows and arrows, and swords? They know about guns, lasers, and bombs now. The world is in danger sharpen more sticks doesn’t make sense.

Is Wonder Woman going to get an invisible jet? How jealous will Batman be?

I looking forward to the development of Cyborg, does he miss his human form?

I was hesitant to see this one based on the reviews, but I enjoyed it and looking forward to more.

Plus the fact that they're running around with less armor than they had in 'Wonder Woman" to appeal to horny 12 year olds...

Watched it . Would see it again. It was not great but it wasnt all bad. Id give it a C+.

My dislikes
Barry Allen is not that dorky

Wish Batman had a few more spotlight fights scenes

I thought Lex Luthor shoulda been seen throughout the movie. He should have been released from Jail due to some Technicality.

Darkseid should have at least been there at the end

I saw it yesterday. I thought it was good but not great as Civil War or the
Avengers. I liked Wonder Woman's fire in this movie. When it was time for her to kick some ass she did just that. Superman's return was a little weird. Should have had a bigger part. Why does Aquaman look like WWE superstar Roman Reigns? lol
I like the Flash. I watch the series on CW. Batman and Cyborg character was cool but I thought Wonder Woman stole the show.

I'm surprised how little this movie felt to me, its like a little charming story, not an epic superhero smash.
I kinda enjoyed it but also getting enough of these movies if the stories don't get better. Its really all too simple.
On the plus side,i think Cavell is an amazing superman (damn he is hot) and wonderwoman steals the show.

See what Marvel did there? They TOOK THEIR TIME....made five very good comic book movies, all could stand alone, all were connected to each other. Then they blew us all away with The Avengers. Now...they're making $300 million blockbusters out of friggin Ant-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy, Dr Strange even! And the movies are all good!

----

What the fuck is going on at DC/WB? How could they screw this up so badly? It's almost embarassing, as a diehard DC fan...such a waste. disbelief I havent seen JL yet, but I have been extremely disappointed with everything they've done so far other than Wonder Woman (well, Man of Steel was pretty good) and from the trailers, critics and a few friends that have seen it, JL is another jumbled mess. Doesnt matter...I am so pissed with the way they have rolled out this "universe", JL could be awesome and I would still complain. They should have done something like this:

-

Wonder Woman

Batman

Aquaman

Batman 2

The Flash

Man of Steel

Batman v Superman

Justice League

At this point, I wish they would blow the whole thing up and start over. Hell, let the CW folks take the universe over. I prefer Supergirl, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow to this fiasco of a franchise they've created. disbelief

[Edited 11/17/17 21:03pm]

I saw this posted at another site, and it sums up my feeling about DC/WB;

Overall, it just feels like DC/WB is kind of slapping together story's and characters in hopes to drive their brand. There doesn't seem to be a lot of collusion between the films.
