Higgins died

Tony Hillerman, whose best-known role was as Thomas Magnum's foil on "Magnum, P. I." died yesterday at the age of 84.

I loved "Magnum, P.I.". It was one of the all-time best shows I've ever seen. Hillerman was perfect in the role of former British secert agent/master of all things/estate manager/possibly Robin Masters. He was so great!

Of course, his stories bored Magnum to no end. Jonathon Quayle Higgins III, Baron of Perth, had been in seemingly every situation and after awhile, Magnum would just tune him out. This worked out perfectly in my favorite Higgins story, when they were in TC's helicopter. Magnum turned off his headphones when Higgins started his story, but when he turned them on at the conclusion, Higgins was wrapping up a story about an orgy or something like that. So funny!

Here's to you, Higgins!

I used to love that show way back when and the Higgins character, too. R.I.P.

I never missed an episode of Magnum PI. Love Tom Selleck. RIP Higgins. I was always scared of Appolo and Zeus.

RIP Higgins sad

I read up on him some years ago. He is an American using a 'fake' British accent. I could tell it was fake lol

I heard that Magnum P.I. was going to be revived.............. I am saddened that this actor has passed away.

Who will Robin Masters replace him with now? That is one thing about the show, you never got to see or hear Robin Masters who owned the estate giggle

I never missed an episode.

This is sad news. I love that show and still watch it every now and then when they show old episodes on some obscure TV channell late at night. He had so many stories to tell that it made you wonder how old Higgins was to have been in all those situations , and wars in particular.

As a kid, I never knew that he was actually from Texas and thought he was really English.

May he rest in peace.
