Dark, first international Netflix show from Germany. I don't know, undecided... somehow the plot is interesting and quite intelligent, but ultimately feels empty. All brain, no heart. And no, it doesn't rain THAT much in Germany... there's an ridiculous amount of rain. lol Anyway, I'd still say, check it out. 6/10

Hey loudmouth, shut the fuck up, right?

I started to watch... it looks good. But not as good as the show was in its prime. It makes what I thought was an unnecessary Prince joke... I will try to finish it this week... but I also have walking dead and Star Wars coming up!

Outlander - Season 3

There were flaws aplenty this season--and yet I'm still smitten with this time-traveling romantic drama. 4/5

Black Mirror and The Man In The High Castle are great shows, especially the latter. As great as Stranger Things is , for me is a little overrated.

I'm completely smitten with this series too. I just love it. The books were amazing, but the show is thoroughly enjoyable too. I hope it continues and follows the books. The next book should be out in late 2018. Sam Heugen is simply irresistible. wink

Well, let's b honest 'Black Mirror' is not TV Show in a traditional sense of that concept. More like a compilation, project that has a total diffrent approach - stand-alone ep. It's intresting, but we shoud call it diffrent.

Stranger Things is a good show, but i would not say it's overrated but it's hyped to the bone 4 sure.

I liked the previous seasons a little more. I haven't read the books, but I've heard many people say the Voyager book is the worst in the series so it's nice to know future seasons should get better.

I've read all the books over the past 20 something years and the one I liked the least was "An Echo in the Bone". I didn't dislike it though. The rest of the series is fantastic. Voyager was a great book. Again, just my opinion, but as you can tell, I'm a huge fan of the books and series and Sam razz

Robert Kirkman's Secret History of Comics

Some of the information was familiar to anyone who reads comics while other coverage was extremely illuminating. Overall a very good series. 4/5

She's Gotta Have It (2017) I loved the classic Spike Lee film from 1986, and this show updates and expands on that film's themes. Also I love the Prince refs especially the last episode. I give it a 4.5 out of 5 popcorn

The Good Doctor ABC Autistic character....absolutely obsessed with this show
5/5
Cleverman Netflix I actually enjoyed this more than Stranger Things...based on Aboriginal character in a suppressed society....I love that it mixes spiritual undertones and highlights just how evil folks can be with their predjudice.
5/5
This Is Us NBC the writing and how they tie the past and present is excellent...the best show on regular TV
5/5
Queen Sugar OWN I can't even begin with this show...just watch two episodes and I guarantee you will binge the entire first season.
10/10
Insecure HBO
4/5 they would have got a perfect score but they say the N word too much and if they don't calm that down will not get through a third season of viewing from me.

Last week my wife and I binge-watched something called "Hit the Road" with George Constanza a/k/a Jason Alexander. Wait - does watching two episodes in a row count as binge-watching? I guess it does for me. I don't watch much TV.

EDIT - I was looking over info about this show on Rotten Tomatoes and it turns out we watched THREE episodes. So we definitely "binge-watched".

But for some reason, we had an hour to kill and the stupid, horrible, unresponsive DirecTV remote couldn't get past channel 101 and that's the Audience channel - which I had never heard of - and they were showing a "Hit the Road" marathon. There are 10 episodes of this show, so that counts as a marathon in my book.

SIDE NOTE - As far as I'm concerned, DirecTV is the NetFlix of cable systems. I hate NetFlix and I hate DirecTV. Both are completely useless and should be avoided at all costs.

Anyway, "Hit the Road" is pretty funny and VERY raunchy. I usually have no problem with the raunchy stuff, except one of the cast members is a pre-teen girl. It's really not cool hearing a pre-teen girl curse, or hearing parents/siblings curse in front of a pre-teen girl.

However, the shows that we watched were really funny. "Hit and Run" is about the Swallow family who are today's version of the Partridge Family. They're a family band travelling the country in a motorhome. George Costanza is the dad. He's funny as usual. His name in Ken Swallow. Get it? Get it?

The mom is OK. In one episode, everyone forgets her birthday so she decides she'll just treat herself to whatever she wants, and what she wants is a threesome. With her husband and another guy. I was taking a shower and missed the justification of this request, so all I know is that George Costanza agreed to it; they found some random guy while I was in the shower; and then they tried but it didn't go over like they wanted it to.

The kids are made up of a constantly-high son; a smoking hot daughter; the afore-mentioned pre-teen girl, and a black guy. Since I haven't seen the pilot, I don't know why George Costanza and his wife are OK with the son always taking drugs. And I mean he is ALWAYS taking drugs. Not just pot, either. He's got pills, lots and lots of pills.

I also don't know where the young black guy fits in. I guess he was adopted? Hired because he can play an instrument? I'm not sure but if I recall, he does refer to George Costanza and his wife as "mom and dad" (not in that order, obvs).

Since I've watched two THREE of these episodes, I guess somehow we'll try to catch some more of them over the New Year's holiday.
.

Black Mirror, season 4. Kind of difficult to rate it as a whole, as it's all indepentent episodes. Overall 6/10. Would have been higher if it wasn't for the last episode. That's almost like a parody - maybe intentionally so, but a real misstep, I think.
