My suspicion is that Melo is too far past his prime to justify what OKC paid for him but we'll see. If he can adjust to being third banana, he could be what OKC needs to compete with Golden State, Houston and San Antonio. |

Carmelo Anthony has never adjusted his game. He's a black hole on offense and a liability on defense. Westbrook's no defensive stopper either and all three of those cats need the ball. To beat Golden State, you need young, fast, athletic wing players who can defend (like Kawhi Leonard) and play unselfish offense. OKC will score points, win 50 games, and maybe get to the second round, but that's it. |

I hope it works. Enes was very committed but had no jump and would typically "give up" the very points he scored on opposing sides.
Carmelo may be the same thing. BUT this affords them more reliable (*let's hope. Some don't adjust to change) perimeter shooting..they haven't had that since church times with Sefalosha and to a lesser extent Anthony Morrow. (Defensive liability)
You're never gonna have the PERFECT def/off players but this is a good change if the league will have to adjust to the stacked perimeter shooting of Silver's darlings the GSW ♫"Trollin, Trolling! We could have fun just trollin'!"♫ |

Dwayne Wade will sign with Cleveland once he clears waivers. This won't get them past Golden State either, unless Wade can turn the clock back eight years. |

Golden State is the Justice League. The Warriors have 4 All-Stars in their prime, at least 2 of whom are top 10 players. They have at leasr three bench players that could start for most NBA teams. They go about 10 deep and their second five could probably win 30 games.
HOU, OKC, CLE, BOS can load up however they want. None of them have a counter for ALL those advantages. Any of those teams are going to need to be 100% healthy and very lucky to take 4 of 7 from the Warriors. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Only team that stands a chance is San Antonio, because of their ability to defend on the wing, and the two-way ability of Leonard. It'll be interesting to see how Rudy Gay fits in. Popp won't tolerate slacking on defense. |

Phew!
I'm glad you didn't pick a good comicbook for your analogy! Can't stand the Warriors. If they hadn't gotten such favoritism I'd be more at ease about it... (and Cleveland never would have come back last, last season if there wasn't interest in "de monies" for calling these games with sway)
If I see another Warrior bat at some guys balls or junk again, I'm done even wanting to hear about them. The equivalent of Andy Dick exposing himself repeatedly (sometimes in public places/clubs/restaurants which would necessitate a felony/sex offender registry), driving under the influence, being a known coke user, and grabbing men and women's junk but never being convicted of a crime.
Until they get there without cheats....The Golden State Warriors are Andy Dick.
I fucking hate Andy Dick. [Edited 9/27/17 15:55pm] ♫"Trollin, Trolling! We could have fun just trollin'!"♫ |

Won't be fun in NY. Knicks will rue the day they passed on Dennis Smith. Of course the inept owner fires Phil Jackson AFTER the draft. |
