Welp, reluctantly started watching Netflix Narco, after much goading from my folks. I was hooked after the first episode, had to force myself to walk away from it and go to bed.

I haven't really seen a TV show quite like this. The last couple of episodes are fucking poetry. 9.9/10

[Edited 8/31/17 12:32pm]

The entire second season is like poetry!

I just finished Hannibal and that show is pure visual art!

Yes to both! Been meaning to watch Hannibal again, but it gets SO dark at times, wasn't really in the mood... and The Leftovers were completely overlooked at the Emmys. What a joke.

Game Of Thrones - Season 7

The writing this season suffered from not having the books available as a source, but I still enjoyed it a lot. 4.5/5

The most conventional, fan-service-filled season to date, but still extremely well done. I also give it starstarstarstar.5

Mr.Mercedes is pretty good with Brendan Gleeson 6.5 / 10

Get Shorty is very good 8 / 10

People Of Earth is not bad either. Comedy and about 20mins per episode 7 / 10

Bering Sea Gold......Love all those gold prospecting programs

The Guest Book...... No bad. From the makers of My Name Is Earl 6.5 / 10

The Mist.......Watching it, but kinda cheesy. Its a bit like Under The Dome which are both based on a Stephen King books. 6 / 10

Waiting for Peaky Blinders to return pretty soon. Taboo with Tom Hardy was pretty good. Penny Dreadful is also very good as is Fargo

Lilyhammer is excellent if you haven't watched that 9 / 10 (subtitled into English in parts)

I'm ready for The Expanse to comeback. And American Gods. And The Originals. And Queen Sugar. Is Sherlock Holmes coming back, seems like that's been awhile? And Black Mirror?

I guess this would be the last TV series I watched since it came on after the season four premiere of Gotham. It's such a blatant ripoff of Star Trek: The Next Generation, but a lot of people hated it because they were probably expecting a lot of juvenile humor ala Family Guy but got very little if any humor at all. It got some decent ratings for its first two episodes, but that was only because they aired on Sundays after football, but now that it is airing on Thursday nights the ratings dropped like a stone. As for the show itself, I'm not sure if it wants to go all in on the sci-fi elements or ramp up the comedy, but what little comedy has been in the show seems forced.

Black Mirror, yes, Sherlock Holmes, I don't think so, at least not for some time.

Currently watching the classic tv series The Incredible Hulk (1977-82) on Hulu, I forgot how haunting and beautiful the theme...The Lonely Man was.

Fuller House season 3a

The writing and jokes are still (deliberately) lame, but the storytelling was great and it was very funny. 7/10

If you do, make sure you are able to give it your attention, unless you speak spanish fluently because you'll need to read subtitles a lot. They speak English and Spanish in it almost equal amounts.

Things I liked about it: the narration you know exactly what's going at all times; it's based on true events; on the 1st episodes it doesn't rely on the usual suspects to get it's audiences attention, sex/violence, there is some in some later episodes but even then it's not heavy with it. Very solid story foundation.

Ah, my son's fiancee is Latina and speaks Spanish--no problem for her. The running joke right now is that my son should have paid more attention to his Spanish classes in high school and college--now he's really gonna have to learn it for their future kids! LOL

It's more of a gooey light drama than comedy. It can be sad at times and I'm fine with it. 7/10

It seems a bit forced and not as funny as Galaxy Quest (the movie). Which is sort of what they are trying to do with this show.

Insecure - Season 2

Such a smartly-written comedy. Although it actually feels more like a drama with some laughs in my opinion. Very well-done. 4.5/5

The Tick remake, an Amazon original. loved it. five stars starstarstarstarstar at first, i had reservations because i felt no one could capture the role as well as Patrick Wharburton did back in the day.
but it rocked after all so highly recommend this to Tick fans.

American Gods. 7/10. It looks absolutely fantastic and has a really fascinating premise, but it didn't quite grab me. I'd definitely watch a second season, though.

We just binged watched both seasons of Daredevil, which we really enjoyed. Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk was amazing, one of the best TV villains in years. Got a little bit repetitive with Matt constantly getting beaten close to death every episode but other than that really good.

Followed it up with Jessica Jones. Really wasn't expecting much as I don't know much about the character other than she seems unnecessarily moody ... but what a great show!! David Tennant brilliant again as the villain and nice to see a bad guy with simple motivation beyond the usual take over the world/quest for power and money thing.

Have just started Luke Cage ... four episodes in and enjoying it so far.
