First object teleported to Earth's orbit

from the way i read this article the reality is more like they teleported a particle, not an "object" but this is a real start.

First object teleported to Earth's orbit

from: http://www.bbc.com/news/a...th-s-orbit

Chinese researchers have teleported a photon from the Gobi desert to a satellite orbiting five hundred kilometres above the earth.

This is achieved through quantum entanglement, a process where two particles react as one with no physical connection between them.

A particle? That's not even a whole atom, let alone a molecule or cell. A whole person is a complicated thing. Well, I guess they have to start somewhere.

I think I'm going to be an old foggie about it like McCoy and Co.
