I was listening 2 the Purple Rain Deluxe Extended album 2day, and while the superb "We Can Fuck" track was playing, I thought of you hos.

Princ3 di3d during a strange and exciting period in my life, and 2 b quite hon3st, I wasn't really focused much on my fandom or his music at that time. I wasn't until almost a year after his death when things slowed down in my life where I could reflect on him---and quite, honestly, my feelings for him don't extend much beyond my appreciation for his music and talent. What DID strick me profoundly was how his fans touched me. How folks I met along the way in the last 15 years, or simply interractred with online have affected me and moved me.

It's the GD community once occupied so much of my time. Truth be told, I honestly think the drain on my work productivity during the later half of the last decade was the reason I got laid off. And, that lead to a dark period in my life between 2008 and 2010 where I wasn't sure where I was supposed to be or what I was supposed to do.

What a difference a few years makes! I'm the happiest I've been in a very very long time. My boo boo is the sweetest thing in my life, ever. Intelligent, kind, compassionate, and swinging lawd.

I live in paradise, I have more vacation days that I've ever had....ever...and, I live relatively debt free and with almost no obligations. Indeed, my life is so stable and good right now, I'm scared that i may jinx myself.

This year I met with Muse2nopharaoah and Fauxie (pronounce fo-wee, like as in French and shit). And, enjoyed an evening of dining and drinking in the tropical night here in Thailand....just relaxing and enjoying my life. I love my friends, I love where I am, and I APPRECIATE AND AM IN DEBT TO PRINCE for that.
