There is a massive difference. TD3 is right, you cannot compare the two. And yes, another case of business ignoring the law to maximise profit it seems. The whole thing was entirely preventable, that is what makes this so sad. As for the victims - I'm not really sure what you're hinting at but these people have lost absolutely everything. They were not at work. They were left with the clothes on their back - possibly their nightclothes - and they have been judged and ignored. What they want are answers - not to give sensationalist interviews to the press.

Cloudbuster said: If this is the legitimate site of the action group and the legitimate blog postings then it makes for a damning read. It seems that the blogger was threatened with legal action in 2013 for their inflammatory posts, yet they serve as evidence that this fire was completely preventable.

Yes, I had seen this. It would make sense as it links with the timing of the redevelopment of the area. I bet a few wish they'd passed it now.

(1) the massive difference is the cheap appartment buildin that was slated to be demolished (shoulda been) burned for almost a day and it's skeleton stll stands (the twin towers were built for punishment... hahaha and fell in two) (2) for only 59 people bein counted as dead (or what ever the number they say that don't include the HUNDREDS (six) that occupied the buildin...) if you had watched the attached vid you'd see the woman is tellin folks THERE ARE WAY MORE DEAD THAN BEIN REPORTED ergo "where are the survivors??? don't confuse me with someone who cares... but i do like to get the stories from the people and NOT the media that erbody seems to think give 'true reports'... losin 'erthing they got' ain't the issue.... THEY LOST THEY LIVES and folks are tryin to keep the numbers down in the reports so they can collect goods for people who no longer are alive... PERIOD!!! i am KING BAD!!!

Grenfell Action Group. . . It is our conviction that a serious fire in a tower block or similar high density residential property is the most likely reason that those who wield power at the KCTMO will be found out and brought to justice! The Grenfell Action Group believe that the KCTMO narrowly averted a major fire disaster at Grenfell Tower in 2013 when residents experienced a period of terrifying power surges that were subsequently found to have been caused by faulty wiring. We believe that our attempts to highlight the seriousness of this event were covered up by the KCTMO with the help of the RBKC Scrutiny Committee who refused to investigate the legitimate concerns of tenants and leaseholders. We have blogged many times on the subject of fire safety at Grenfell Tower and we believe that these investigations will become part of damning evidence of the poor safety record of the KCTMO should a fire affect any other of their properties and cause the loss of life that we are predicting:

A sad tragedy, i mean it. Are there innocent animals among the victims? i'm afraid the answer will be affirmative.

It's a mess, that's for sure. All other high rises tested so far have come back positive for flammable cladding. Some high rises are being evacuated, although the cynic in me thinks there are other reasons that the danger of fire is a good screen for.
